Far from it. This is the cruel reality of Latin America, like Miguel said. It's like this everywhere.

The queen is not allowed to wear some clothes, or say some things or even speak in public without consent.

They should start implementing that in the States.

Ok, do they have a permanent sign saying they're housekeepers? how do they know?

PLUS, if they're the ones doing the cleaning, that means the ones that should be kept out are los cochinos de los tenants.

Desgracia. no

basically, if you are native/mixed on those beaches, you are either security, a housekeeper, or someone selling stuff. no other mixed people are allowed on them.

obviously security and people selling, are not there to swim. housekeepers may want to because they are taking care of kids who are swimming.

but the problem is bigger than housekeepers.

Over 700 housekeepers showed up to protest on the beaches of Balneario de Asia in Peru. They argue that they are not allowed to bathe in the ocean in that area and, in fact, are only allowed to step foot on the sand after 7 PM unless accompanied by their employer.

Actress Gisela Valcarcel showed up dressed in a traditional housekeepers uniform, to support her housekeeper, Teresa. They all defiantly walked toward the beach and, like a Roman army, marched shoulder to shoulder until they reached the water and triumphantly played around for a while. Gisela said:

She is my confidante, my partner. I dont understand how it is possible to make someone who knows so much, feel like they are from another class. I come from humble beginnings and from a time when the beach was for everybody. I am against the notion that housekeepers shouldnt be allowed on the beach.
To that, I say march on hermanas! March on!
