I have a friend who paid $3,000 for a purse and only god knows how much she paid for her boots. I don't think my whole lifetime wardrobe could amount to half of that...
As for expensive purchase, definitely house, the last one. An impulse buy, we almost regretted it before closing day, but now we're soooo happy we're there. Now we just have to pay for it.
well I agree with you TV Buff I guess my most expensive purchase has to be my house, which we just got it on December last year
Yup I'm in the same boat with the house. Hopefully my next big purchase is a new car. I really want one, but it all depends on how my work goes.

ME and parents and brother were looking for a place to rent, we only had two weeks available since we had already told the landlord we were moving, I was curious if we could actually start paying mortgage and real state guy "helped us" get the mortgage, and for the next 5 years I only had vacation once cause I didn't really have a great income.
Actually, come to think of it..........I have been known to just take off and fly somewhere.
I took off to Cuba a few years ago.
And in 2005, after all the craziness that year, I went to the Air Canada counter at 10pm and bought a flight to Germany and Spain for two weeks and took off the next morning. Then I came back on a Thursday and took off to Mexico that same Saturday.
I was restless.

But for us it took at least a week to consider if we could make all the payments.
But SHOES!!
and then PS2!! many moons ago.
Ah yes I remember when the PS2 came out. I didn't think I wanted it until I played it at my friends house who pre-ordered it. Then I was one of the thousands that drove around the whole city and found one at Toys R Us on Steeles.

What's the most expensive thing you've purchased on impulse?
I have two things and they are very different in price.
#1 would have to be our house. My in-laws offered us a chance to go 1/2's on the house to have a cheap mortgage and help us save up for our own house. I saw the oppurtunity and took it and put down the downpayment.
#2 Is a replica of the WWF title(Wrestling championship). I was WWE Niagara Falls last summer and just had to have it. I never thought I would spend over $400 on something like that, but it just looked awesome.
