Maybe they take it for granted that foro has had a large part with the amount of traffic that it has generated. A lot of people have heard about/been introduced to TH b/c of the foro section, and then have ventured forth and used the other sections of this website.

Same here, I wouldnt stick around if TH started charging a fee, no matter how small. I'd get so super angry during those 'down times' and demand for my money back. If I pay for entertainment, then damn it, I want me some entertainment!

U got a point there, even though we are not paying but all those add they place here all this banners are cause of us, we tell friends 2 come n check it out so we are making more business for them that way... about the customer service I have never ask a question 2 admin but I guess if he has el foro he should look after it....

Well, I don't go to many, but I go to this particular one and it's flawless, and just enough features to keep it user friendly. You get all your questions answered within hours, the admin really keeps an eye on every thread.. I get "thank you" emails, christmas emails, happy new year emails, special members offers, etc They really pay attention to the "customer"... then again, it's really the only other forum I can compare it too

That's true. but I'm going to guess that ads are charged based on traffic, with much of it caused by us If we're not happy, there's less traffic... Mo traffic, mo money And in a way, a very indirect way, we do pay a bit for it... just like the way TV works
