SITUATION #1:My friend and I are passengers on the back seat of a car. My friend asks me for a piece of paper. I provide a piece of paper to my friend. My friend wraps a chewed piece of gum on the piece of paper, rolls down the window and tosses it out on the street.I made some kind of comment; but my friend threw me a line – something like: “That’s what I pay my taxes for, they can clean it up” I don't think the line that your friend said you was correct but que quieres que haga qe tire el gum at the back seat of your car ummm I don't think so
SITUATION #2:I offer my friend a wrapped chocolate – My friend gracefully accepts, grabs the chocolate, unwraps it, scrunches the wrapping, and tosses the wrapping on the driveway we happened to be at.I just gave my friend a look – not sure that it was really noticed. Well does your friend always does that?Because doing that once in a blue moon is not bad, I mean I know we need to recycle and all but don't judge your friend if it is not often, and is not like your friend is throwing big garbage anyways
There was at least one more similar situation and I thought I would post this to get people’s input.
When I lived in another part of the world, tossing garbage on the street was not so uncommon. I NOW think it was not right; but seeing it everyday back then – it was no big deal. But now that I have been living in North America for a while (USA and here) I have come to completely disagree with the notion that it is OK to just dump pieces of garbage (little or small) on the street or any other public places. I wouldn’t do it at home – I wouldn’t do it outside. Well this your way of thinking and good for you
IS IT JUST ME THAT GETS BUGGED BY FRIENDS – OR OTHER PEOPLE – DUMPING GARBAGE ON THE STREET!? To me it doesn't bother me as long as que no me tiren el garbage a mi LOL
IS MY FRIEND RIGHT THAT BECAUSE WE PAY TAXES, IT’S OK TO DO SO? ANd this comment no tiene que ser necesario, just because all of us pay taxes doesn't mean que las calles son nuestros garbage y hay que tratar de mantener la ciudad limpia, but then again nobody is perfect and if it bothers you that your firend does that, teach your friend what you have learned
