I really wanna see RICKY MARTIN!! ....and of course BACILOS!!!

I'm a big fan of Alex Ubago and was from the beginning.....have all his music, DVD...etc  
FYI:  His first hit was featuring the lead singer from LA OREJA DE VG.....la cancion del miedo...lol

And I really hope BISBAL comes to TO......

Oh yeah you missed it Confu, it was a great show, La quinta Estacion Perferm and other.....Don Omar and Victor Manuel sang a Salsa together, I was impressed, Don Omar even did some salsa moves, great show!!!!!

VIÑA DEL MAR.- Gisela Molinero paseando en bikini con una bandeja de sándwiches de mortadela, Yamna Lobos llevando la sensualidad al límite con sus coreografías, Marlen asegurando que si es elegida reina hará lo que los reporteros le pidan, Eli de Caso vendiéndose con el poco atractivo lema "La reina madre"….

De todo se ha visto en la feroz campaña para conseguir el cetro de Reina del Festival, que organiza el diario La Cuarta. Las actividades de promoción se acabaron ayer. Hoy, entre las cuatro y las cinco de la tarde,  los reporteros gráficos y periodistas acreditados del certamen votarán por su preferida. La ganadora recibirá un anillo avaluado en 7,7 millones de pesos, gentileza de joyerías Barón.

Emol filmó sus shows de promoción y seleccionó sus mejores fotos. ¿Por qué votar por ellas? Aquí lo explican.

Marlen Olivari: "Quiero ser reina porque represento la sensualidad de la mujer chilena", dice la showoman, que se ha caracterizado por hacer campaña semidesnuda.

VIÑA DEL MAR.- Se llama Festival Internacional de la Canción, pero no siempre lo parece. Hay algo familiar y recargado en Viña del Mar, que a veces nos hace mirar con un dejo de ternura sus más estrambóticas aspiraciones.
Pero resulta que a veces, no lo vamos a negar, nos sorprende. Durante una hora y media, Tom Jones hizo que Viña cumpliera con el sueño de ser lo que aspira: un festival en grande, con todas sus letras.

El astro británico, vestido enteramente de negro, vino a demostrar que lo que de él se dice es cierto: Que pese a 40 años de carrera artística, mantiene su amplio y grave registro prácticamente inalterable; que a pesar de que su figura ya no es la estilizada de su juventud, y a que su baile ya no es tan definido y enérgico como antaño, sus movimientos siguen provocando estragos en la audiencia femenina; y que pese a partir cantando hace cuatro décadas, no ha hecho de sí mismo un museo, sino un artista legendario y vigente.

Jones echó mano a hits como "It's not unusual", "If I only knew" y "Sex bomb", para hacer que la Quinta ****ra se venga abajo, pero también la puso a sus pies con éxitos como "Delilah" o "She's a lady". Y hasta se permitió probar temas nuevos, tal como había anunciado, y presentó "The reason". Todos interpretados con una banda de once músicos perfectamente afiatados, sostenidos sobre todo en una sesión de bronces que eran una verdadera muralla sonora.

El cantante de origen galés hizo además gala de su buen humor, bromeando con lo renovada que quedaba su voz tras beber agua mineral sin gas, el concepto que mejor maneja en un castellano que desconoce casi en su totalidad.

Por lo mismo no debe haber entendido del todo los gritos de antorcha y gaviota que vinieron luego, y a los que los animadores obviamente respondieron con los respectivos trofeos. Jones devolvió los reconocimientos con lo que mejor tiene: hits. "Kiss", su célebre cover de Prince, fue el encargado de poner punto final a uno noche que difícilmente se volverá a repetir.

Tom JonesLos pasos no son los de antes, pero el efecto es el mismo. Tom Jones se echó el público al bolsillo esta noche en Viña.

Hey Yesi, do you have the rogers digital box? o el satelite? if you do, watch el festival de viña, (although they will still show it on TLN like three months later), this year there are four good spanish rock bands from Chile, Los Tres, Kudai, Los Bunkers, and Lucybell. Lucybell sounds like "La Ley", they're not bad, and "Kudai" just won a whole bunch of grammys latinos como la mejor nueva banda de rock en español. Check them out!

EL FESTIVAL DE VIÑA EN SU EDICION 2007 ESTA SIENDO TRANSMITIDO EN VIVO POR ROGERS CHANNEL 573 HASTA EL PROXIMO LUNES, SI NO LO TIENES, PIDE LA CAJA (digital box) Y TE LA DAN GRATIS POR TRES MESES!

La Oreja de Van Gogh regala su antorcha de oro a fanática discapacitada

VIÑA DEL MAR.- Como una manera de reconocimiento a sus fanáticos, el conjunto español de música pop La Oreja de Van Gogh cedió a una seguidora chilena uno de los premios que obtuvo por su presentación en el Festival de Viña del Mar.

Luego de ser ovacionados por la multitud que se dio cita en la Quinta ****ra, la agrupación fue premiada por el público con la Antorcha de Plata y de Oro.

Como una manera de reconocer el esfuerzo y el cariño a una de sus fans, los integrantes del grupo español decidieron darle el trofeo de oro a una joven, parte de su fans club, que es discapacitada.

"A todos los fans, y por todo su cariño, decidimos darle la Antorcha de Oro como un acto de agradecimiento para todos", dijo la cantante Amaia Montero en un breve encuentro con los medios de comunicación al terminar el concierto.

El grupo fue el responsable de abrir la primera de las seis jornadas del festival, en el que también actuarán artistas como el puertorriqueño Ricky Martin y el galés Tom Jones.

El quinteto español ha popularizado temas como "La playa" y "Rosas", que fueron de los más vitoreados por las decenas de miles de personas que se congregaron en el recinto para apoyar a los invitados especiales de la noche.

La edición número 48 de la competencia internacional, que éste año reúne a 10 naciones de América, además de España y Francia, culminará el 26 de febrero.

Bacilos se despide de los escenarios con show cargado de emociones

VIÑA DEL MAR.- Se robaron la noche. Así de simple. "Bacilos" ha sido el mejor espectáculo de la primera jornada del Festival. Bastaron sólo dos canciones para que Jorge Villamizar, José Javier Freire y André Lópes, los integrantes de una de las bandas más famosas de habla hispana, se echaran al público de la Quinta al bolsillo y empezaran a poner fin así a 12 años de carrera.

Porque el de esta noche, como lo venía anunciando desde el año pasado la banda, fue su último show. Ello provocó una emotiva conección con el público que pasadas las 2:00 horas de la madrugada, no se movía de sus asientos.

Con un concierto que no tuvo ripios, los puntos más altos se alcanzaron con sus interpretaciones de clásicos de la banda como "Caraluna" y "Contigo se va". La antorcha de plata que exigió el público era más que merecida, al igual que la de Oro.

"Fue la mejor forma de terminar con 12 años de carrera. No me queda más que agradecer por todo su aopoyo", dijo un emocionado Jorge Villamizar, el vocalista de la banda al recibir el primero de los trofeos.

Con "Flaca", un cover de Andrés Calamaro, el grupo cerró su show y bajó el telón de su carrera musical.

Trayectoria

Bacilos se formó en 1995, en la ciudad de Miami. Los integrantes de la banda son de distintas nacionalidades y gustos musicales. De ahí que las canciones del grupo reciban influencias de ritmos musicales tan variados como el rock, cumbia, salsa, rumba, vallenato, trova, son cubano, samba y bossa nova.

Los mejores discos de Bacilos son Caraluna (2002), que ganó dos premios Grammy,  y "Sin vergüenza" (2004).
