I totally avoided this thread when it originally came up but since no one reads my posts and I don't give a rat's nalga if this thread is dead or not; I have to say, good read

P.S.: I personally don't give a rat's nalga about spelling and grammar.
I have never even seen a rat's nalga. What does a rat's nalga look like?

Don't put my name next to his. He's an idiot.
His whole INTRO focuses on the use of "I" which wasn't the point. The point was his use of present and past tense. Let him mix and match for all I care. What it comes do is that he's an idiot.
Now you're sounding like Confundida with your name calling. Grammar seems to be frustrating you, girl. Chill, cause going to the level of name calling is making YOU look more like fool than me. But no worries, I won't stoop to that level with you.
You didn't have to stoop to that level. You've always been there.
Anyways, your clever "I guess you wouldn't know **** about Spanish grammar" said a lot about you WAY before I said anything.
I did not even know you didn’t write Spanish at the time – I was merely following up / continuing on a light-hearted JOKE made about ANOTHER foro member about your Spanish grammar/language skills or whatever was meant - AS A JOKE (I don't know that member well, but I would assume, from what I have read that you know each other in person and I would not think he would be "putting you down to make himself feel better".
However, like the same other foro member said – you just seem to be having a bad day/week/year or whatever it is. You just need to chill and ease up on the use of direct insults (such as “idiot”) as a way of debate. Debates are great when arguments go back and forth even if people end up agreeing to disagree – which I think is the case in this “grammar issue” at hand.
Regardless of what has been said in the last day or grammar arguing, I hope things are good with you and that you have a great weekend!

I'm wrong right? lol
That is exactly what Motown Junkie is saying. But in the context / timing that that sentence was written, it would have NOT been the correct sentence to use. Please refer to my last entry/explanation for that.
Or I wasn't there....or I don't get it.....
Anyhow, I just discovered the wonderful world of wandering and wondering......I'm ok for now....lol

Motown Junkie wrote: You're seriously hurting to start a thread like this but if you must, you must??
I never questioned your use of "I" in the sentence. I questioned which tense you were using, PAST or PRESENT!!!
Correct this sentence please: "I had to edit my homework before she correct it."
ASSUMING that the correction DID NOT TAKE PLACE YET, the proper sentence would be: "I had to edit my homework beofre she correctS it" Which, by the way, was the context of my original sentence (you had yet to correct anything): “PS: I had to edit ONE word before you point it out!”
I know you're going to debate it again... please feel free to keep going at it.
I am going to go on a long-shot here; but I think you might believe the proper correction would be: "I had to edit my homework before she correctED it."
or as was the case, with YOUR ACTUAL CORRECTION to my original sentence: "PS: had to edit ONE word before you point(ED) it out!"
Therefore it is MY SENTENCE that properly expresed what was going at the time and described accurately what I was trying to say.

A proper sentence must contain a subject and a verb, which, together, can be called an independent clause. An independent clause is a group of words that can stand alone as a grammatical unit. A sentence can have more than one independent clause, but it needs at least one independent clause to be considered a sentence. Many sentence fragments are dependent clauses, which cannot stand alone.
Examples:
• The loudly crying infant in the back seat. [Fragment: no verb] • The loudly crying infant sat in the back seat. [Sentence] • The loudly crying infant in the back seat had a fever. [Sentence]
• Kept me from doing my homework. [Fragment:no subject] • Softball practice kept me from doing my homework. [Sentence]
• On the rocks. [Fragment: no subject, no verb] • The fisherman sat on the rocks. [Sentence]
• Because I haven't seen him in two days. [Fragment: dependent clause: has a subject and a verb, but cannot stand alone] • I don't know if he's all right because I haven't seen him in two days. [Sentence]
Many sentence fragments result from the improper use of a word as a verb.
Example:
• The computer with a color monitor. [Fragment: no verb: with is not a verb] • The computer has a color monitor. [Sentence: has is a verb]

Now let’s analyze the sentence we are arguing about: “PS: I had to edit ONE word before you point it out!”
Iis the subject and it is necessary to have a complete sentence.
Thank you very much!
