You gotta go to Killbear. Out of all the provincial parks I find Killbear to be the one with the better facilities, very clean with nice beaches and you can do anything from hiking to biking to swimming... etc. Very nice place!
We went there last year just the weekend before the summer rush and it was beaaaautiful. A little cold, mind you, but it was just gorgeous. This year we're planning to spend a bit more time there. My best camping experience, so far.

we stayed in the Roe Campgrounds in the 430s, it was close to the comfort station, the water pipe thingy AND the kicker, it was close to a little private beach! The only thing with that one is that you had to hike to Stubb Falls but it was completely worth it after the hike.
Ches! DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT go camping at Port Perry. Their sites suck fungus infected toes!!!! I can't believe I'm writing this, as I loooooooove Port Perry with a passion, but camping there is a

I read in the Valentine's thread that TVBuff has booked her camping site. I love camping.... and if it is a cottage even better.
Where have you gone camping? what are the best places to go? this thread is for all the links and information you have.
yesi
Of the ones we've been to, Killbear Provincial Park. Algonquin is supposed to be very nice too, but I've never been. We also like the sites near Orillia (Mara and Balsam Lake). We used to go to private camping sites a lot before, but found them to be too small and crowded, so we're only doing provincial parks now. As for cottages, we stopped doing the cottage thing a couple of years ago, but we went to a few nice ones.
