I am not very informed about politics,. but I think this could happen in the future,. but not now,. even though having a hispanic candidate for president of the USA,. would be a great window not only for hispanics,. but for other cultures to the presidential seat,..

Isn't there like a secret society or some crap like that that all but a couple of presidents have been part of? I'm sure there was a movie about it with that kid from Dawson's Creek. I'll get my facts straight later, but as far as I remember, Kennedy and Clinton were not part of that society and that's why their presidencies didn't go so well (well, actually Kennedy got shot and Clinton got blow jobs, so who's got the short end of the stick on that one-- No pun intended!!! Seriously!!!).
Anyway, don't quote me on that. Like Hubby says, there's a good chance I'm making that up.

Once you get THAT far in politics, it really doesn't matter whether you're a latino or a caucasian or middle eastern or whatever. I am sure that by the time Richardson made it to state politics, corporate america had enough on him as to let him proceed undisturbed. His bid for the White House shouldn't change that.

Besides, it's official republican policy to showcase themselves as the "minority inclusive" party. I mean, their last convention, at one point, had like 10 latinos (and women, and black people) on stage ... while there were, maybe, 2 in the audience. Thus I wouldn't be surprised if Richardson's decision to run -unlikely as it seems- was actually made by the high ups in the GOP.

However, something tells me that Latinos in the ol' USA would know better than simply taking the racial vote bait.

I don't think it would happen, but it would be very interesting. I would also love to hear what George Lopez, Carlos Mencia and other comedians would say about this
