Well they won't be in person but you can tune in this Saturday to my radio show to hear the exclusive interview with Monchy Y Alexandra and our very own Mr. Alex Bello.

No doubt teh movement is here and its all about supportin national talent, we have ridiculously good talent in this country. To get more check out my show on Saturdays 5-7 on Voces Latinas its the only show dedicated exclusively to support up-and-coming talent. I definitely want to see more our talented being payed and played. So far the best event for that has been the Manos Unidas fundraiser that was off da hinges. Paz, ConQuista
2007 is gonna be great, I can just feel it! Canadian talent is coming out strong as well as lots of new international artists. So my question is who would you like to see in concert this year?
My top three picks are:
Los Tigres del Norte
Oscar De Leon

Artists like Visionero, JR Mauro, Mic Delincuente, Echo a Mano they're all holdin it down with some crazy tracks!
I would like to see more local artists in concert,. we should learn more about the LOCAL talent,.. I think instead of spending $$$ bringing foreign artist ,. promoters (enterteinment entrepenuers) should spend in promoting LOCAL talent,. most of them are great are satisfy every music taste ,. so the forces should be toward getting more local exposore and support to those artists,..

lol thats jokes, come on now Paulina ain't that bad. You know what though as I was writing that I was fully thinking if there is any reggaeton artist I would wanna see, after La Union it would be Ivy Queen! ;)
What the other options are no good?! Come on now, you know you wanna see Los Tigres del Norte, don't lie!
I heard too from like 3 different promoters that they were bringing Winsin y Yandel, but as always people talk before the contract is signed and then end up lookin like jackasses, it is what it is. So who would you wanna see, I mean reggaeton-wise?
i thought W Y Y were on the works of coming down already for the early winter
so i heard...............another false rumour then? ojala que no...
another reggaeton group will be too much to ask for here so to be fair for the rest out of that "wonderfull" bunch of groups and artists ill go with mana
Really?! Come on she's an everyday hottie! That would be a great time, if only to go and meet cutie guys lol. Can you imagine all the dudes that would come out to see her, i'm just sayin for a single gal it would be like a buffet of men! lol I wouldn't mind seeing her.
Oh, and just had a visual of Marc Anthony at Sin City all I have to say about that is LMAO! You know what though, it wouldn't be as bad as having an iconic singer or group perform in a community centre, i have to say that is a new level of tackiness, but apparently its profitable.
ConQuista wrote:Nah what I MEANT was that seein them brought me back to my rock days and thats where its at rockers with long hair, I didn't mean they have long hair and are rebellious. ANYWAYS, hey I can't believe I never thought about this artist before, what do y'all think of PAULINA RUBIO?!
I would love to see oscar de leon here again, it would be great to get a salsero of his calibre here, also I doubt any one here in Toronto has the money to bring Marc Anthony he's worth millions of dollars, and were would u bring him to Sin City or docks or a banquet hall I don't think so

Gardenias long-haired and rebellious??? You sure you had the right band? Those guys are so nice, mellow and laid back that they could hold daytime jobs as babysitters and the kids would love them!!!

ConQuista wrote: Papi Sanchez hmm suena bien. Lo has visito en concierto alguna vez? Yo no por eso te pregunto, es bueno en vivo?
I've seen Papi Sanchez last summer here in Mtl and the show was good.
Otro sugestion: Mala fe ( Merenguero) y Oro Solido (merenguero-reggaeton)
Ticket must be not to high or else you know in Mtl, if the prices are too high we won't come and ending up in a big flop ! If ticket prices are affordable...then you'll see the hole latin community coming in Bloc (not to be miss interpretation with Bloc Québécois, ja, ja!) even there's a lot of Québécois who loves to see latin shows.
Well, I paid over a 100 $ for Juanes last year and would do it again and even more if theartist is really worth it.But since pple already b.....and complain for a 10 $ fee to go to a night club, good luck with that !I would pay those 200 for Marc Anthony, Santa Rosa...... but do you have the money to bring them ?As for the other pple on your list, they are not wotrh it that much money (ticket wise I mean). As super Buffy mentioned, Mana is not that expensive. But first of all, a good market survey and great, extended promition will be requiered to make sure you will be bringing someone that the community will be willing to go and pay for.

How much did you pay for your tickets? i was checkin out some of their shows in the US the tickets start at $185!!! That's crazy expensive, I mean I want to see them but not for almost $200 a ticket! The only time I spent that much on a ticket was for MIMI I love her!
p.s Oscar De Leon would be unbelievable too! Some of my all time favourite salsa tracks are by him. That would be an awesome jam, it would have to be somewhere though where ppl can dance. I heard he flopped at Massey Hall, my guess is cuz with no where to dance it wasn't as appealing.
Please don't say you love MiMi 'cause Dogo's going to get mad jealous...
As for Mana, our tickets were 70 U.S., but there were all sorts of prices. You can pay up to a thousand bucks and you get to sleep with them and take one home.
Someone like Oscar de Leon at Massey Hall is a HUUUUUUUGE mistake. I saw Marc Anthony there, and although the place is small and cosy, it's not worth it, because of the type of music. You need a hall where you can dance for artists who play that kind of music. Or you need to be a whitey and just sit and listen to the music.

Oh yes, 'Son de Cali' would be amazing!! But please bring Marc Anthony!! Pretty please!!!! I would LOOOOVE to see him again!!
I basically would love to see any big salsa acts. Especially if they bring toda la orquesta, like last years concert "El Gran Combo". That was a great concert!!!!
I'm pretty sure if you do, it would have a great turnout since there are a lot of salsa lovers in T.O. But if you do, please don't do it at venues like Sin City. Whatever happened to Banquet Halls like back in the days. If there were no other choice, i think Government is the best club to have a concert at, considering the fact the El Gran Combo's concert was good.
Anyhoo, please bring Marc Anthony or any great Salsa acts to T.O.
Thxs
Oh and BTW, i agree with MJ, i would LOVE to see Oscar de Leon!!!

If you people bring Mana to Toronto I'm bringing the tomatoes fo' sho' 'cause I'm already spending a fortune to go see them in New York!!!
Seriously, though... this will come as a shock to many foro members, but I would really, really, really, really like to see....
I'd like to see Don Omar in concert in Montréal because we didn't have the chance yet to see him en concierto. If you have the chance to organise something big for our large latino community here in Mtl....it would be great !
What do you think would be good? I mean fo real I've never seen Mana I would LOVE to see them live! I'm just shootin out names so if there's some else u can think of...
