COnfu...El libro es ficcion pues aunque muchos datos son acertados hay otros que no, o han sido alterados para hacer la trama mas interesante. Creo que este libro le presta mucho al libro "Holy Grail,Holy Blood" el cual fue escrito haciendo una gran investigacion donde participaron tres escritores, ellos encontraron una gran informacion, pero a la misma ves hay que recordar que la historia y leyendas las escriben los hombres y solo aquellos que vivieron en esa epoca saben si fue' asi o no.
Hay otras cosas como la inquisicion que la iglesia no puede negar pues ocurrio' en un pasado bastante cercano. Creo que la gente en la iglesia catolica es como en todo; hay padres, arzobispos,etc, que si siguieron las ensenanzas de Cristo, pero hubieron otros que siguieron sus propias ideas y fanatismo y le dieron a la iglesia um mal nombre.
Creo que es parte de la evolucion de la iglesia, incluso yo siento que la iglesia en Canada no es la misma que la iglesia en Latinoamerica, tienen puntos de vista diferente ( aqui los curas parecen estar mas alejados de los fieles, y como que por dentro estan en la religion no por vocacion sino por que no podian trabajar de otra cosa).
No hay que creer todo lo que leemos, dicen que por eso Don Quijote se volvio' loco.
@ Confu... no, girl. I got the picture version and I thought it was great to have some from of reference to go by. They go into detail about some of the paintings and you can flip back and have a closer look for yourself.
@ Julie... Faith and Church are two different things. I don't believe in the Church but it was the Church that helped nurture my faith so, questioning my faith is part of questioning the institution that helped nurture it.

I agree with Guada, movie was a snorefest especially if you've read the book. If you get the book with the pictures ( a picture book), you'll be able to better understand what they're talking about 'cause you're able to see and examine first hand the paintings of DaVinci.

I have yet to watch the movie or read the book. But I have watched a lot of documentaries on it, and yes, it can make you doubt. As far as I know, the church was very opposed to this movie. And if u think the movie was blunt, I am reading this book called The God Dillusion by Richard Dawkins. This guy is a renowned scientist and atheist, and this guy is blunt beyond belief. BTW, u need to lend me that movie.

Ya it's a great movie and alot of the stuff mentioned in the movie has to be taken with a grain of salt, but I do think there are things the church tries to hide.
this is so two years ago. the movies is a total snore fest, read the book, it's much better.
and mejor lea angels and demons. It's much better than the davinci code.

I FINALLY GOT AROUND TO WATCHING THIS LAST NITE......
OMG THE MOVIE TOTALLY SCREWED UP MY VIEWS ABOUT THE CATHOLIC CHURCH EVENTHOUGH I HAD MY DOUBTS.... BUT MAKES ME THINK HOW MUCH TRUTH TO DWE REALLY KNOW ABOUT OUR FAITH....
