He was put into a cab by one of our guy friends and the Mexican cab driver was told to bring him to Copacabana resort. The cab driver went to the bottom of the hill (the club driveway) picked up another two Mexicans and my friend was beaten up and robbed!

If you're too drunk to get into a cab yourself, then you're just asking for trouble. I think tourists need to be smart and take some responsibility for their actions. And, duh, of course there's ton of corruption in Mexico - all the more reason to smarten up when you're on vacation - ANYWHERE in the world.

The whole letter was on the Toronto Sun ( I believe),it could be the Staraswell, it was one of those letter to the editor or those readers send. Anyways, the paper also writes statistics of canadian murdered on other countries, and more canadian have actually died in the States.

The whole week the Toronto Sun has been publishing comments about traveling to Mexico and making comments about traveling to third world countries. Among them there was a canadian guy living in Mexico who says there are 6,000 canadian and americans living in a place close to Guadalajara and he doesn't agree about boycotting (please check my spelling)Mexico,and so on.

3 years ago a Mexican was killed in Kitchener, no one knows what happened, apparently the garbage truck run over him. Did Canada give answers to the Mexico family, hell no, they said he was drunk and fell asleep in the middle of the street, it was too dark and the truck driver did not see him. Did anyone hear about this, off course not why???? Becasue he was Mexican??? Is the Canadian goverment covering something???? Off course they are, just like Mexico is probably doing now. Not becasue of this I will Call Canadians animals or killers.

If I am telling you all this is becasue people need to understand that this happens everywhere. This girl is stupid to say that Mexico kills its tourists.

By this girl saying that becasue of Canadian Tourism the animals in Mexico eat, is she f@cking crazy, she needs to read and learn about Mexico before she calls us animals. We are a group of very hard working people, (she should read about exports, imports, agriculture, economy) and then make her stupid comments

Anyway I could go on and on but I won't. I just wish people are smarted than this girl.

Ok...... So I was not going to comment on this letter just becasue It made me so upset, now that I went for a walk to the cafeteria of this building and back to my office I will.

I understand that she is upset about the death of the 19 yr old, but she has to understand that robbery etc.. happens in every country! When you go to another country you have to be careful, because you are a target to theives.

I think it's so wrong for her to say those things about Mexicans and to try stop Mexican tourism.

Heck, when i go to El Salvador, i already know what to expect. I never wear my jewllery and i never go anywhere without a family member.

This letter is in regards to the murder of the 19 year old boy that travelled to Mexico . The Deprisco Family.

I don't even know where to begin! I went to México last year 2006 for spring break and one of my guy friends experienced something among these lines. He was put into a cab by one of our guy friends and the Mexican cab driver was told to bring him to Copacabana resort. The cab driver went to the bottom of the hill (the club driveway) picked up another two Mexicans and my friend was beaten up and robbed! We found him about 5 am (after searching all morning) walking down the hill, blood everywhere! Thank god he was able to walk or else he would have died there! He told me what happened, he remembers everything but the faces of these Mexicans' that did this to him.

I know that this boy experienced the same abuse. He was beaten to death by locals and the police department and all the high authorities of México are trying to cover it up. That's how it works in México NO ONE CARES and they are paid off! His face was the only part of his body that was the brutally damaged, no other part! There is no way a car hit him (as the Mexican police claim) and just damaged his face, other parts would be broken too, like an arm or leg, nothing else was beaten but his head and face!  I just hope that he didn't not suffer!

If  this was my brother I would spent the rest of my life preaching my story and making sure that Mexico is known as a death trap! I would contact all national authorities and news channels all over North America and tell my story. I want our society/world to know about this, know about the situations that are happening. We are the ones that support that country, tourism! Without our financial support that country (those dastards of
Mexicans') would not be able to eat!

This should have never have happened! They should respect us as visitors to their country and their government should support and protect the income of that country but protecting us, the supporters for them all!

I am so disgusted that this is happening and people/ authorities do nothing about it.

I am writing on this blog for the TorontoStar, hoping that people will open their eyes and STOP GOING TO MEXICO. We need to cut off the tourism income to that country so they will learn to respect and not kill visitors to their country!  WE all need to speak out and get the word going, this is not a safe country/ city ( Acapulco )!  We all need to stick together as a nation and teach a lesson to these ungrateful animals.

ps: Just imagine this was your son.............. younger brother..........
family member, how do you move on!.................. and all because Mexicans beat the life out of him!

When are we going to speak out and do something about it?!
