I just got back from S.Am with a suitcase full of dvds and when I try to play them they didn't work neither in my DVD nor my Laptop. I was told they were recorded in Multizone mode. Does anyone know any software that plays them or decrypt them? I'm not doing video piracy, I'm just trying to help  Fair Trade by adding Spanish DVDs to their list of products.

Hey Masteropiero, do you have the exact model of your DVD? some models can be changed to be multizone.

I was in Colombia  but I took a trip to Ecuador and Peru and I got dvds from different places. These dvds are rare and hard to find here. DO I have to bring the DVDs to the store? or my DVD player?...I know the dvdplayers there, play everything whatsoever, so the Region is not an issue. Can they modify my dvd player to do the same? . At some point I thought to buy one of those, but it's like "Traer leņa al monte".

I heard from my brother that just came back that they use MP4 instead of MP3???

If it's not a matter of PAL vs NTSC, try ripping it yourself with RipIt4Me & DVD Decrypter (they work together). Then run FixVTS to correct any disc errors you might have.

Then you can make it fit on a 4.5 Gb disc with DVD Shrink.

It might save you a trip to the pirate factory.

Ahoy matey!!
