@Guada: I remember going to church and EVERYONE was one big hypocrite!!!!  They were saints in church and the moment service was over, CHISMA CITY GALORE!!!!!!!!!  I couldn't believe how many two-faced people there were!!!!

Now I go to a church out in Oakville; right in the middle of nowhere, LITERALLY!!!  Whenever I go, there's usually no more than 15-20 people which I like.  It seems very "Little House on the Prairie" classroom like!

But you just said it's in Oakville

Nevermind, I'll do it to me

BTW, I have a hard time going to church (the catholic ones, or similar, anyway) more like I boycott them, really...and no disrespect to church goers, and if it brings you any kind of happiness or relief from whatever, go nuts!.. BUT
...while thousands of children die of hunger everyday... we get to pray in multimillion dollar real estate
Nice!

I don't get it.

I go to a Christian church if that makes any difference.

No no, that last comment wasn't directed to you, specifically
It was just a general comment as to why I have a hard time bringing myself to church

No all of them, at least not la Guadalupe church. It's still humble looking, and los padres live there.
No como la super famous church (i have no idea why) on islington que asta extra parking le construlleron. They always have the regular xmas lights on, not the energy saving ones, and they have a massive house just to the side of the actual church. And don't even get me started on that other church in the middle of the town by Velmar...pfft, ridiculos.

Granted, not all of them but most of them (and I don't mean JUST over half)

I know that church on islington, I drive by it everyday.. yeah ridiculous! what is it now, like 4 lots that they have? pffft!
And Sunday mornings you can't even drive by there, it's so packed

And I've been to churches, mostly back home, that are algo humilde. That represents what the church REALLY stands for... I should say.. what it’s SUPPOSED to stand for
But in general I'm very disillusioned with the whole thing, so I don't go

MJ---i don't agree with it, the pentition thing and all that of course. The people running our community churches are much more corrupt than what they make out homosexuals to be. And that is what i hate.
Plus, i gave up going to church, i actually liked it because (the spanish churches) they're so lively, the music is awsome and it's so cheerful. But, i don't think it's a must to go to it. I don't need a person to tell me how to be good in code, and it's not the only place god is present. He is present where ever the faith is.

That's something else we started doing last month!!! I was a little disappointed, though, 'cause after an almost 8-month hiatus, I go back and on the church's newsletter there was a "sign this petition" thingy, and it was something against gay marriage, and I'm just not against gay marriage. I don't know if that's the kind of message I want the buffsters to get from the church.

  Not cool!!!

Did people actually sign this?    Anyone oppose???

I guess not: what the pope says, goes.

Actually, I'm sure people oppose. Good thing about the catholic church is, you just go there to listen and not discuss. Or maybe that's NOT such a good thing. Maybe I should just switch religions.

MJ, one coffee a day is ok, but just ONE!

I'm not much of a resolution maker, i just do what ever at what ever time, mid year, mid week, anytime is a good time to change something you're not happy with. Why wait until the end of the year?

But i do set goals. This year i plan to follow my ambitions and continue to better myself at things i've started and to better myself at things i already do and like. Not much of a gym go-ers either. It smells in there anyway. I just eat as healthy as possible and maybe indulge once a month. But that's it. I do hope to use the bike i bought last year (or was it two years ago? ) this year.

NO!

I just didn't like that I was HOOKED on it!!!  I drink peppermint tea now!!!  Much better!!!

I've also decided to attend church every Sunday morning or at least twice a month.

This year's resolution:  Stop eating McDonalds, KFC, Popeyes, etc!!!  I think I'll treat myself once a month as opposed to every other day!!!    Also, I'm going to TRY (but I doubt it) to hit the gym more often.

I always make new year's resolutions. I've mostly accomplished last year's (although some surprises were thrown at me that made me change some of them). This year the only one I've made so far is to try and exercise more, not just for weight reasons (especially after a month of cheesecakes, tres leches, and every dessert that was available to me), but mainly because of health reasons. I feel that I sit in front of this friggin' computer for too long and I don't exercise as much as I should (smoking doesn't help either). So more exercise it is.

How about you guys? Do you have any new year's resolutions? Did you follow through if you made some last year?
