26? I catch it on channel 6 (rogers), or whichever CBC is, in your area. New episodes are Mondays @ 8. I think they replay Saturday mornings and Sunday evenings, but I don't know at exactly what time
I read a story in my boonies paper the other day, they made a deal with some guy from the Durham region and he got all the papers, contracts, etc, and the money has yet to materialize. Apparently, the fact that they tell you they'll give you the money doesn't guarantee that they will. It helped the guy in the story, though, because through the show, he found some other investors, so he's getting a good deal out of it, but not the money from the guys (and the girl) on the show.
it's entertaining to see the presentations, though: what I've learned from the few episodes I've watched is that the secret's not so much in the product, but in the sales pitch.

I looooooveeee this show. It is so interesting. I have been watching it since the first season. I saw last night episode not from the beginnig almos just in the middle of the presentation of this "motocycle" idea (the "kid" Dogo's mention). He fought for the 80% of his company, and won, it was very impressed but he really know what he was talking about and what his goal is. GREAT SHOW!!!!
Sorry to bring it up again, but I just LOVE this show (nerdy, I know) and the new season just started a couple of weeks ago. Last night this 'kid' got 1.25 Million for 20% of his company/invention If you have an ounce of entrepreneurial spirit, you'll love this show Any fans?

WOW, IS AWESOME!!! I HAVEN'T SEEN IT BUT BASED ON THE SHORT CLIP I LIKE IT. MAYBE THIS IS A GOOD OPPORTUNITY FOR GUADA AND LADYBUG TO PRESENT THEIR FOOD DELIVERY SERVICE TO SINGLE PEOPLE. I'M SURE THEY WILL INVEST. WT THE HECK, I'LL BE A PARTNER AND PREPARE/PRESENT THE PROJECTIONS AND BUDGETS. I'LL DEAL WITH THE FINANCIAL AND MARKETING ASPECT OF IT. WE CAN DO IT!!!! COME ON LADIES, WT DO U THINK????
I actually had an application form for this show. I looked it up, got all the info. It looked interesting and just imagine, what an opportunity! To be able to talk to possible investors to get your business going! Two things turned me off, and it just proved what I suspected right now that I saw the jobloft bit (I've never seen the full show): The "being on TV" bit is a turn off, 'cause you'll probably get doubly nervous presenting the idea, and the judges are probably very likely focused on the show aspect of the presentation. The other thing was the "giving up my dream" aspect of it. One thing is to come up with a bandaid idea so that I can get money from these rich bastards to finance my great venture. Another is to give up ownership of a lifetime dream just because they have the cash and I don't. If I have a vision, a specific vision, for what I want to do, I don't want to have four money-making vultures making the decisions in my company. My vision for the idea will be gone and I'll be disenchanted in a six-month span. Money talks, I understand, but more than that, I guess in my opinion, is the fulfillment of a dream. If I want it bad enough, I'll find other ways to finance it.
That's what I think, anyways. I've never been offered 200K. Maybe I'd change my tune then.
I know what u mean Tv Buff,. but probably u have the experience on manage a business and all what that involves.,.. so for you will be ONLY MONEY,.. but others who don't have experience but they have a good product or service,. for them would not only be MONEY but CONTACTS, EXPERIENCE, and PROFIT,. because obviously the ones putting the money DON'T want to lose,. so they will work hard to make this idea in a BUSINESS,. about giving away ur dream.,.before going to the show,. u should have a patent or trademark,. so noone can copy ur idea,. so you are gonna be secure like that,.

I love this show,. I watch it on friday's night,. it so intense,. but give u good ideas how business should be manage,. partnerships and good advices,. probably yeah sometimes the are a bit rude,. but there are ppl with some ideas and also they don't have any idea about the profit or the investment,. but the judges of course they alway try to take a lot of advantage because they r the ones with a re****tion on business,. so I guess even if you give your produyct or idea away,. u win experince at the end,. (for the ones who get the money)

Dogo, do you read minds? i was just thinking about why no one posted anything RE:this show! and you beat me to it!
I love the show, but i also wonder how most rich people (the ones coming with the ideas) can have really bad ones! who told them it was a good idea? that they could actually make more money out of it?
Last night's was good, and when i see those salad dressing oils in a store neat me, i will get one.
