Great news for Jay Z as his cd is flying of the shelves
After a whirl-wind of promotion for the album, Jay-Z's comeback LP Kingdome Come is set to break first-week sales records for 2006 and will land at #1 on the charts come next week.
Riding the wave of a strong performance at the recent American Music Awards and an unprecedented "Hangar Tour," which included seven shows in less than 24 hours in Atlanta, Philadelphia, DC, New Jersey, Chicago, L.A. and Las Vegas, Jay-Z will finally be seeing the fruits of his labors once next week's charts are released.
Apparently the "Mike Jordan of recording" can still ball, with sales of his latest disc projected to reach 850,000 units by next week, according to HitsDailyDouble.com. Jigga's totals would clearly beat out the old record for the year held by the Rascal Flatts, who debuted with 714,000 records sold in their first week on shelves this past April.
In related news, Jay has also recently become the #1 on-demand artist ever on Clear Channel Radio, with 600,000 plays over the past week on more than 220 station websites. As previously reported by SOHH, the Brooklyn-bred MC partnered with Clear Channel stations Power 105 and Z100 in New York last week to give fans an exclusive opportunity to listen to the album in its entirety before its release date.

so close, but no cigar. He's Kayne's alter ego. You know Kayne dont you? He's only the worlds greatest country superstar ever! He's right up there with Biggie, the godfather of pop.
Honestly I couldn't even stand listening to more than 30 seconds of that song with Beyonce. It's called Hollywood and I don't think she goes nuts on it, but it just doesn't sound good.
I know thats his girl and everything, but come on now! She's ruining him!!!
I think i would like it better had she not been on it. But other than that, the album is pretty good.... Im feeling it. Sounds mellow and chillish... me likey

Ewwww, he's got Beyonce in there? Does she go all crazy like in her latest songs? Im telling you, that girl needs to get over the fact that Rihanna and Jigga man work so closely together... she's going to end up in a straight jacket.

Ya I got it last week. It's okay. Definately not his best work. I would give it a 3 out of 5. The production wasn't as great as I hoped. Just Blaze only had 1 beat that I liked. Kanye produce just 1 or maybe 2 songs. He should have done more since he produced 2 classic albums for Jay-Z
