No no I say I am "Frenchargentmexi".....@ LaDyBug, is that the right order Holly I don't remember.
Seriously, sometimes I don't know what to say. I definitively do not consider myself as Italian or German. So I say French because that's where I was born and what my passport says I guess but I would say that I lived so many in mexico that there is no way this will ever get out my system and I won't let it either.
See, I am loosing my French and it's painful and shameful to admit it but I refuse to loose my Spanish..........so !

Well, I am 1/2 French, 1/2 Italian, 1/2 German, 1/2 Mexi and 1/2 Argentinian, Oups... to many halfs....I knew my parents screwed it up somewhere
Don't worry Danny, let those pple be, they will put themselves in situation where all this "latin thingy" will come right back @ them and solitos, they'll be making fools (spelling ???) of themselves.
But you also have to think about all the "latinos" that don't know about their culture, barely speak their parents language and claims to be latinos down to their bones. Did i just said grino Latino ???? SORY.....AH
I think that identifying yourself from here or from there is much more than the place you parents come from. It's how you feel inside that will make you what you are (not you as Danny), not just because. And hopefully you'll still be respected within your own community regardless if you go outside of the box (si no, no valen la pena que uno les dedique tiempo).........eso se llama crecer y enrequecimiento personal, no hay nada mas importante que eso, siempre dejar las puertas abiertas. Nunca sabes lo que te puedes encontrar al la vuelta del camino................you might be surprised.

My mom's grandparents are from Spain, it just so happend tht my grandparents were born in ecuador & lived there & had there family there.
I was never taught to explain all that when I was asked where I'm from.
To me they were born & brought up there then they are Ecuas. See if my mom could care less her other semi background, I don't see why or feel that I have to think that I can be half ecua or half espanola.
ANyhow I hope i make sence.
I think that if you are mixed, you should know about both cultures, enjoy both of them & be proud of it. It's awesome to see some mixes, even thou I hope I don't fall in that percentage.

Im not quite understanding why it bothers you?? I am a 1/4 portugese and i tell everyone! Im proud of that my grandfather worked hard for us to know our roots so why not express it! Im also 1/4 Hondurena and again i tell ppl out of respect to my grandmother!!
It's better when members of other communities relate to being spanic cause I remember ,that several years ago, many latinos wouldn't even speak a little spanish cause they were kind of embarrased. So if any one suddenly wants to be latino, then let them be, they don't mean any harm, and I'm actually others are starting to enjoy the good side of the culture.
We latinos come in many colours anyways, so let's share the culture.
Danny danny danny... Are you trying to tell ME? What MY ethnic background is now?? I know exactly what category I fall into.. THANK YOU!
AND
Yes, Danny I do know what you're talking about...do I think it's worth a whole thread? No...Like you said if they are appreciating the culture, then what's it to you...Ohhh and as generations do go on...Don't be surprised if you DO SEE MORE OF IT, It's called interracial relationships

So i guess i should take pride in my "european" spaniard side as well right? since all us latinos got f****over and colonized by them....just let me wip out a spaniard flag now!!!lol get real here ma!!!..........please!!!
its all good that people start appretiating out culture...
but to claim a piece of the pie...and say "ya i am latino too" my great granparents have some spanish in them lol!!!" thats just plain retarded...
they only say it for the moment cuz they see the latin music industry growing..and feel that its cool to be down with it...
but ask them about their history and or if they can at least speak spanish...no saben nada...
and this even goes out too all you fake latinos who have your cars and rooms full of your flags and ****....pero a la hora de la hora...yall dont know **** about your culture and cant even speak at least an ounce of spanish...
done and done!!!
No one said you had to wip out a spanish flag, don't put words in my mouth!! What I'm saying is LET THEM BE!! JEEZZZZ! Why do you care so much?? In my opinion you spend wayyyyyyyy to much time trying to convince everyone you're a hard core latino, to the bone...just chill...Why are you letting them effect you so much?? LET THEM BE!! If they wan't to say their grandfather was half spanish that's fine...they still won't have a clue about our food, music, dancing, history, politics ect... WHY DOES IT MATTER TO YOU SO MUCH???
