i work with both but if i had to buy one i would go for a mac not because of the OS but becuase of the fact that they are light and compact to carry around and now that they come with the intel chip u can have windows and os x on it

Me and my boyfriend finally succeeded in installing windows on his iMac...and its works beautifully so now he can keep up with all his gaming stuff

Hopefully you won't have to do what we did..first tried with a priate Windows disc..but it didn't have service pack 2 so it wiped the whole computer blank and you have to reinstall everything (we did that twice ) so we finally just caved in and BOUGHT windows with SP2..and we just installed it with the apple bootcamp download..
u BOUGHT windows xp SP2!!!!
sorry to tell u but windows vista is coming out like in 2 months.....if u can take if back, do so now and get ur money back.........plus bootcam is beta, so that means u will have to update later anyways.

Both have their Pros and Cons. BUT Macs are 'funner'.

I use only MACs at work but as pretty as they are I dont think I would ever buy one for myself for the following reasons
1) Its too freakin hard to get pirated software and I aint trying to pay 900 bucks for photoshop or however much it costs which truthfully I got no clue cause I got a PC and u can bootleg anything on a PC. 2) All the good games come out on Mac like a year after they come out on PC 3) I find it hard to make my own upgrades to MACs. maybe cause Im used to taking appart my PCs. Plus MAC parts are 3 times as expensive as generic PC equivalents. 4) FEw portable devices (pockets PCs, smart phones, blackberries) are compatible wit Mac OS. I know atleast the ones I have arent. 5) No right mouse button. what the hell is that? I gotta move my hand over to the keyboard everytime I wanna copy/paste something?... leeeeeegz! 6) I cant figure out how to get thumbnail view in folders.

And I also have to admit that the main reason I bought my macbook was cus it was soooo pretty, and I knew i would like the actual computer from playing with my boyfriends imac...but hey you pay money to look good and your computer;s no exception right?
