I would not have a problem if my son went to a school that gave out condoms and promoted 'safe sex'. I may not like it, but i would rather that then my son getting infected with an STD, AIDs or knowing that he is going to be a father at 16yrs of age.
Whether the school promotes safe sex or not, kids now a days are having sex at a very young age and you as a parent may not even know it!! As a parent, you have to talk to your child. This is reality and every parent has to face it!

If I found out that the High School my kid was going to gave out condoms I would transfer them. I know they will eventually do it deep down inside, but I don't want them to have even easier access to doing so.

JC, condoms are the LAST thing that is going to help your kids get (more) sex. If anything, they're gonna help them to have, pretty much, safe sex.

C'mon JC, there is nothing wrong with that, and actually it's pretty clever. Remeber many parents will never touch the sbujet with their kids and those ones will be terrified about asking, etc...specially girls so IT IS a VERY GOOD THING. Plus do you think that kids are waiting after their parents to do so or no to. If we were not years back, just imagine now a day. And it's happening @ a very young age, like 12, all that to be "cool" so really better be safe than sorry, because you know that there is nothing that we can do to avoid that from happening.

JC is rite they have a canastito w/ condoms in the reception or close to it so the kid can go a take what they need, same as they have band aids... but in my opinion giving out condoms is not a bad idea cuz kids now a days love "tabu" is something is tabu they will go crazy at it, but once it is given to them in a silver plate tabu is gone and so is the interest...
As for my case I'll like for my kids to go to a catholic or christian school... i'll have to consult that with the father... but in the mean time.... that's my idea... and i'll talk to them as my mom did trying to figure me out and me and my "i got u mom" attitude i used to say "no mom i'm not doing it, i'll let u know"... and hard to believe it worked....now she ask when i'm giving her a grandchild... moms r so difficult

As far as I know the condoms are available in the schools office and health room. I know of two public schools in my area like that. I don't know about the rest.

Why would you transfer them? all the schools are doing it, so I think that it all depends on the AGE of the kids, I mean my son is 9 and of course they are not going to give him a condom, but let's say that he is 15 or 16 well you know what besides the school us as a parent should talk to them and also the school.
