Regular rail already charges about $300 return trip to Montreal (how a bullet train could charge less than this, I don''t understand)
And you can get a return plane ticket for under $150 (I'm not even sure why people still take the train to Montreal)
I doubt very much many people would choose a 2 hour trip over a CHEAPER 1/2 hour trip

There's probably a better chance of us being able to TELEPORT to Montreal, before we get a bullet train to Toronto/Montreal built

Some people are afraid to fly.

Hell some people will actually drive out there using their own car and gas.

It's all about who wants to use the systems available. And btw, as expensive as it is, Via usually sells-out, yeah I've checked.

Personally a train system that runs from Brampton to Richmond Hill would be more ideal. I'm just sayin.

I think it would be a good idea for those afraid to.... volar (it is hard to even spelled rite ) , and I think that in a near kind of far future the gov. will start to think in implementing something like that here... cuz Canada will see that it getting behind since i know another country :ejemchileejem: that already has plans in doing a underground high velocity train conecting certain cities :elemsantiagovalparaisoejem: if they haven't started yet...

Flights between Toronto and Montreal are not that expensive.  High speed trains may end up costing about the same as a flight.

I do not agree because high speed trains contain more passengers than a plane and the tickets would be cheaper for the ride. In a plane there are  a maximum of 300 seats for passengers and a train can contain between 400 and 800 passengers, which is a big difference.

I was thinking....

perhaps we should open a canal between T.O and Montreal and have ships going back and forth... that would be a nice trip too...

or maybe create a breed of donkeys on steroids that could take wagons with ppl

Hey,  Mc Something ,

you're probably the only one who won't need a mean of transportation between Mtl and T.O. ...'cause you would only need to get on the back of your donkeys to get a nice ride especially during winter...ja, ja, ja!

I have an idea to make us dream a little. I am dreaming about the day when we could travel between the 2 biggest cities in number of population in Canada. Por ejemplo , after a friday at work or school, I could go out here in Mtl and on Saturday, take that High speed Train running 200 or 250 km /hour and be in Toronto 2 or 3 hours after leaving MTL and come back in MTL on sunday. That dream would be greater if cities like New York and Chicago ...south of the border and not that far from us too could be included.

In Europe, they have it already for many years and links cities like Paris and London. I know that is only a dream.........but we never know....maybe one day if we put some pressure to some deputy in Ottawa. Espero que el gobierno tiene esa misma idea..................

Hasta pronto!   Por tren de Alta Velocidad  ?????????????????????????

good idea
