Totally agree with you about the money that is sent back home. It's estimated that worldwide as much as 232 Billion is sent abroad, $40 Billion of that is from USA to Latin America. How much of that do you think comes from illegal immigrants? Those are staggering numbers. On top of that money remitted to El Salvador and Honduras accounts for 15% of their GDP. Crazy Hugh.
Yeah,. but what being illegal or legal has something to do with voting or not??? They reside in other country different from theirs,. so equally apply,.. witth the only different that they can not vote in the country where they are illegal,.

By law at least in Ecuador voting is obligatory and it s your right as citizen of that country,. and I said citizen no resident,..probably not directly but indirectly,.to yoour family to your country,. I know that someone would come and say why you immigrate then?? so many reasons,. every case is individual,. besides part of the money immigrants make abroad are sent to their family back home,.that money support great porcentage of the economy,. so everyone should vote,. but it is everyone;s decisoin to do it or not
But honestly what for ,. if every government is corrupt ,..just my opinion
Why do people who live in Canada and it is their primary residence vote in elections from "back home"
I personally don't get it and think it's wrong.
You should only vote if you live in the country and their government affects you and the way you live. You are affecting the outcome of something that doesn't concern you since you don’t live there. Thinking that you know which candidate is best for the people who live there by reading about it on the web site is unfair. You cannot judge from the outside. You won't know how it will affect their day to day life.
Only people who are abroad for business/school or pleasure but will return to live while the elected government to be is going to be in power should vote
I agree with u 100% Why are u deciding some one else’s future when u do not leave or pay taxes back home, sure u have family but u do not reside there no more, this is a thing that I have question many times, why do country’s allow people to vote when reside in another country, if u are here just for a couple of years n u are going back ok, but if u plan 2 live here n become a citizen of this country u should not have the right to vote or influence your country of origin future.
