For the beginner I suggest the following

- stick with a knowledgeable partner who is willing to help you throughout the game (ie. when it is your turn, which club to use, etc.).  It also helps to include someone else who is also a beginner.  Usually you play in groups of 4.

- Above all focus on consistency.   Find a good stance and arm placement that you are comfortable with.  Your goal is to find the best consistent form so that you are confident every time you swing,  you smack that ball and not the air or the ground.

- when swinging, keep your eye on the ball until the moment of contact.  It may be tempting to look away but it makes a world of difference.

- if it is a full game prepare for a bit of walking so dress warmly if it is cold and wear comfortable shoes.

- Have fun!

I'TS NOT TOO HARD !!!  Object of the game: get the little white ball in the hole with the least

amount of hits. Every hole (usually 18 if u r playing the full course) has a Par (# of times it should take you to get the ball in the hole). You start each hole with a "Driver" (the club that has the biggest head  (that's funny!!) and u continue with the irons until you get to the "green" which is the area around the flag. Don't worry I am sure a co-worker woulb be more than happy to "assist" you on grip, stance and form. I have been playing for years, and still is a learning experience every time.......

PERO LO MAS IMPORTANTE.........HAVE FUN, DISFRUTALO AND HAVE A DRINK @ THE CLUBHOUSE WHER U R DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So today is our company sponsored Golf Tournament.  Every employee is required to go (I've somehow managed to skip this event the past 2 years but this year my manager signed me up and now I have to go).  SOOO, my question to you, fellow foroholics, HOW THE HELL DO YOU PLAY GOLF?!??!?!?!  Any tips or tricks?

Atleast I'm dressed the part went out and bought myself a cute little golf shirt!
