I got some german $850 shoes with especial insoles inside, company insurence paid though and I seldom use them cause they are kind of ugly, very confortable though.

It is kinda pricey for a pair of shoes I'd say.  You could still buy a decent pair much cheaper and you probably couldn't even tell which is more expensive.

If the person doesn't mind then thats when you change the whole method of thinking.  You should reply "Those for 200 bucks?  Those look cheap!!".  Make the bastard pay much more till you start noticing where it hurts them.

oK, so I accompanied my friend to buy shoes yesterday and she dishes out $200+ for a pair of shoes to wear to a weeding of all things.  Is it really worth buying a pair of shoes for $200+?  I mean women buy pumps for that price or more yet they only wear the shoes periodically.  Make sense?

omg I don't think I would pay $200.00 +.   Maybe  if I was rich.   I would feel guilty regardless, there are some people who cannot afford shoes at all.

But there are shoes and boots in Aldo, Guess and other stores for over 400+  ..

Umm... ya... I take issue with spending THAT much money on a pair of shoes.  I know someone that pays $200 for jeans!  JEANS FOR PETESAKE!!!  But whatever, to each their own.

LMAO... youre a jerk... LMAO

I would spend that much on a pair of shoes... I love shoes.
The trick is, to buy something that you can wear again... something that is versatile.
Remember shoes are the one thing that you can make work with any outfit... be it going out, going to work, partying etc.

@ luna: I believe you mean "to eaches own"

Ive spent that much on sneakers before... I dunno if I would drop 2 bills on a pair of shoes that I was only gonna wear that one time to a wedding but If I was gonna get some use out of them (like sneakers) than its alright

Spend what you can afford and what you're willing to dish for what you REALLY like... surely many of us dish out $200 on other things that may even be less useful than shoes.  I.E: at a night out at a club, gambling, strippers, etc.
