As mentioned before, Mana has a really good Brazilian night on Fridays. But, if you're looking for a little variety, their are some Portuguese bars, that have amazing Brazilian nights. If you haven't gone to Blue Nights or Bola, just west of Dufferin on College St., you don't know what you're missing. Their are dj's and bands and a ton of Brasileiros. Soooooo many, that you can't even walk by on the sidewalk, on a good night. These two bars are right next door to eachother, and people usually go back and forth, from one to the other. Also, there is a new club that just opened upstairs, and it is Brazilian, too. Check it out...

Samba would be like their national dance, so in any brazilian party you go to you'll listen to samba or batucada (kindda the same style)
Axé used to be trendy until a couple of years ago, now it died down a little, but it's still listened...
I recommend you Sergio Mendes and Daniela Mercury...
boa sorte!!

that looks cool, but from the 60's and 70's msuic that is not my cup of tea, I'm thinking along the lines of modern music like whats happening now in the brazilian music scene . seems like Axe is the newest sound
Discreet_ wrote: Thanks i appreciate all the help , do u know some night spots that are big to hear this music at i know of Mana any others???
there're a couple of spots in the Portugeses area I've been too, but i can't rememeber the names...and unfortunately my amigas brasileiras are no longer amigas....
Doesn't Cervejaria have Brazilian nights? There should be more spots like it along the college strip, near Davenport.
