Well... business is business... this people are working ther butt off for this pageant. With all the prizes they are giving... they need all the possible ways to make money and help with the costs.

I also think its horrible to pay for the votes like seriously whats up with that! Also you stated business is business and whatever but thats why they sell tickets at a high cost and get sponsorships! to make back the money they invest! I've grown surrounded by a bunch Miss "this and Miss that" back in Venezuela. Trust me even the Miss Universe's website you don't have to pay to vote Miss"so and so". I think it's just plain ridiculous to pay a buck with a credit card? The system is kinda stupid in my opinion.
I'll take your word for it (I'm not familiar with pageants) but I'm sure the online voting just determines some kind of "popular" vote, NOT Miss universe
If I caught the gist of the system they are using for the Miss Latina Canada pageant... I think the winner will be picked solely on the popular vote? (correct my if I'm wrong) Basically the one who makes a better "campaign" and has the most friends and family, will win The Latino way.. ALL the way
