I tryed IE 7 and I did not like it. I also briefly played around with Word 07 beta and must say it's not that great either. Its visually appealing but poorly structured. I don't see that being deployable for office use ....as of yet, unless there is an option to change the views so it reflects the earlier versions of Word. Like how XP has the Classic Start menu view.

I love Firefox... IE is crapping out like crazy. I strongly recommend NOT installing the new version of IE. Lots of so called experts are saying Microsoft should stick to operating systems and leave browsing to the Firefoxes and Operas of the world.

Ok, so Dogo here are my tips for you:

1. Do NOT uninstall Internet Explorer
2. Do NOT install the new Internet Explorer.
3. Create a Mentos Diet Coke rocket
4. Go back to 1999/2000 when Stereophonics were played like crazy on the radio.

is funny how this "expersts" compare a BETA software to others......Anyways, the new version of IE 7 is out today get it HERE

and this time is not BETA but RC1(meaning almost done and ready for the masses)

You could always have both comforts...call one the "shiet box" and the other "the mac"   I personally haven't tried myself but has anyone done a dual OS of having MacOS and Wins/nix on a box?

yes, i have with the new MacBook and is gr8 with the new intel chip the macs are looking like they are the way to go........is not like is going to take away the viruses and stuff but it gives u the option of both OS's and if u really want to go crazy install parallel and u can run virtually any OS on the new macs.

As for MAC's not having viruses is just a matter of time and they are not stable like everyone is made to believe they are.

It was never a browser issue, but it sure is a server issue. I tryed both IE and Firefox. If more than 5 people experience the issue intermitenly then you know something is wrong.

@ Pelon: My web developer and I test the websites we create on different browsers and so far the latest IE is giving us the most headaches in terms of functionality with style sheets, flash objects and general representation of design on both Windows and Mac platforms. It's like Microsoft is in a world of their own making it impossible to have websites work properly.

@MM - actually you could search the proper way of unistalling IE in google, and correct its not application found in Add/remove programs. As for updating it sure why wouldn't you. Personally myself I haven't cause I have no need everything works. In regards to Mozilla at one point I liked using it but I've found that it tends to think alot slower in the way it runs...Opera haven't used it for yrs so not really update on that browser.

If you're not that great with playing around with the Operating System then ya don't remove it. You could really fawk up your registry (not a good thing).

@Buff - it could be some type of malicious code/spyware on your system that is causing this. You could download MS Antispyware, Spybot. Those apps tend to grab most of everything. I know the feeling you would type a web address that does work and it would reroute you to "page cannot be displayed" or some other 'website' you're unaware of.

You're such an attention whore! btw never and I mean NEVER uninstall Internet Explorer. It's tied in with your operating system so much that if you remove it, you will also remove key components that make your computer run.

OK, I should've said: "I did all of the above except for uninstalling IE"

Fine, I'll never NEVER uninstall IE

No no, it is not your computer or applications. It is the service provider that Toronto Hispano is using.

Someone mentioned that they are switching providers and that could be the reason for the issues.

@Dogo, have you tried updating your IE?  if not try unistalling it and reinstalling it.

I got a virus with Explorer that kicks me out of it if I try to use any of its commands. I can use the net fine and when I try to go to certain pages, it sometimes reroutes me to somewhere different, I go back and try it again, and then it works. But I know it's a virus and we will have to reinstall it. Maybe that's what you have.

I couldn't connect earlier today either but now it is ok. Try clearing your IE cache (Temporary Internet Files) and see if that helps.
