TLN Latin Fest was horrible. Everything sounded the same! They all just should've come out and performed at the same time. I'm 22 and I felt OLD there.

overall i saw latinfest as a fun night and i only saw 1 fight but what i didnt like was the security problem were anytime i got up i couldnt dance or walk around plus i couldnt go to the washroom
and digidon is not el padrino of reggaeton overall hes the padrino of reggaeton in toronto! why? who sang reggaeton before him? at the time the music was still getting bigger he was busting his @ss off and i remeber couse i saw his shows when i was younger
but i really though visionero should have opened latinfest with that intro they had i really liked that dancing part
imperio 416 should have performed 2nd becuase they can really build up the show and make people stay longer (but i know people who left and went on the rides)
but gabo (y2j)i didnt know you can dance lol niceee
salsa in st clair was much better plus it was free

In all honesty...I don't think that it's fair for people to judge the performances based on the "attendance"......lack of promo should only be blamed on TLN....
ALL performers were really good and no matter the odds, they were very entertaining.....
It is at times like these that SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL TALENT truly means something....
Thanks to those who came out and to others for supporting and not bringing down the ARTISTS!
Lack of promotion for sure. I didn't even know about latinfest until the actual day of the event.

yea man , i had a couple of friends that went , they said it sucked as s , they were so pissed they came back a t 4 to play soccer
Yah! A lot of you found this year latinfest edition quite boring as I see.
On Sunday, I went to the Yaga & Mackie reggaeton outdoor concert in Montreal and It was awesome. Muchas gente bailando...no, no! ...........bailando no es la buena palabra...pero perreando al ritmo del reggaeton. The place was just crazy. I don't know how many people were at the concert but it was packed for that show that last near 2 hour. At 11pm.. the end of the show, Yaga & Mackie told the crowd that enjoy it so much and they didn't know that the reggaeton scene was so big in MTL that It won't be long before they come back in Montreal. Before Yaga & Mackie get on stage, Qbanito made a 45 minutes apparence on stage but they looked a little bit tired...I don't know if they've been partying after their presence on latinfest on Saturday....who knows!
Anyway, It has been a nice hot sunday for the Yaga & Mackie show and the tickets was only 15$ y se vendia como pan caliente!

cubanito- wow what a show i liked it i didnt pay attention much cuz i was waling with (a special person) but i liked it he ended the show with a bang
This line caught my eye: what does it mean?
Alright, moving on. Continue with your discussion.
COMO SE NOTA QUE ERES "MAYOR DE EDAD" ....lol
At first I read "wailing" but why would they be doing that? So what the hell DOES it mean? Is it like making out or doing the dirty deed against a wall? Is that what it is?
..............but what pissed me off and i dont want 2 start being a hater lol but as latinos we should be treated with respect and what i seen was not good
Security all over our @asses (we couldnt dance,we couldnt stand,we couldnt even do what we always do)
how was the peel region police? ALL OVER THE PLACE LIKE THEY WANTED 2 TAKE SUM LATINO AWAY / never have i seen so many police AND NO I DONT WANT 2 HEAR THAT THEY WERE THERE 2 PROTECT US cuz thats pure $hit
@ Jonjon
Sorry, I don't understand your comments. Please don't take it wrong but it was more than normal to have police presence @ the scene, every Festival have some and it probably prevent things from happening. Now, si no tienes nada que reprocharte y tienes la conciencia limpia, you have nothing to worry about, so I don't see what it would bother you. Actually I pretty sure that something did happened from what I witnessed, I just hope it was nothing too serious.
No pple, don't get that excited, I am not talking about a fight but more like a purse gone missing or something like that.
And pple were dancing and having fun, even you, as per your own comment. But yes, the line up for pupusas was ridiculously long and in general, the food and the drinks were kind of pricy but hey, I guess they had to compensate the price of the both location.

Why do you think Visionero should have opened up the show?
Why do you (and others) call Dygidon el padrino de reggaeton in Toronto? ...I'm curious
Essssplain please & thank you!
(BTW....nice seeing you there )
I dont call him padrino......lol.............. and i dont think Visionero shold have open the show or Imperio... cuz just like he said.... so far the best 2 shows....
but o well.......
and i alsO wanna know why ppl calls digydon padrino or papa de reggaeton.... since when.. i mean el unico papa de el reggaeton y rap que yo conosco.. se llama VICO C.... so cualquiera que sea mejor y lo demuestre le hacepto tomar ese titulo....... THANK U VERY MUCH.
the performers did really good and i gotta admit that they all showed talent
but the food? over 10$ drink in a cup lol 2$ lol i was like dammmmmmm

TLN disrespected our community and they losty many fans (dont expect a next year)
as a local artist supporter i luved it
imperio (416)- wow what a show i though that was the best performence (the guy who sang solo did good (he should go solo he would be better then all the guys
digidon- wow now thats showin that people why your the padrino of reggaeton in toronto (in the middle he lost the crowed but got them back)
visionero- dammm guy what an intro ( i luved it) but i still think he should have opened latinfest
hoja seca- niceee at least it was somthing fresh then just reggaeton i liked it
mezcla tipica- dammm i havent danced like that in so long lol one of the best performers
cubanito- wow what a show i liked it i didnt pay attention much cuz i was waling with (a special person) but i liked it he ended the show with a bang
overall i gave the show a 7 not because of the artists but couse of the way the event was done
i wanna hear ur opinion if da security or police came up 2 u
I went also.. I spend $14 on one plate of food, rip off. The vendor had to remind me that the place cost so much money that's why she was charging me for this. You know it's not fair for us or let say the community. It use to be nice going there every year to re unite with people you haven't seen in years. NOT THE SAME and will not go again.

Of course it was. Remember, I just got here last year
I also took some note "seats are not fixed to the floor as it seems to be". I might consider bringing my flag next year ..... LOL :thanksM&M'sandLahtina:

Hi, I thought I would add that the performances were pretty good. My friends and I had a great time. I met a couple foro people and I hope to meet more soon!
Latinfest wasn't surprising this year and probably won't be the upcoming years. It was empty around 8pm-9pm and like before by then it would be sooo packed. Anyways as for the long lineup waits this year it wasn't that bad. Actually had more fun standing inline with friends for the rides
Least had the chance to meet Chale. I agree with LB, what's up with the pupusa line? And what's up with the beer section? It was closed at like 9pm Anyways weather wise it was nice and rides are still good.
SUCKED MAJOR GOAT BALLS. NOTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY.
I WENT ONLY BECAUSE I WAS WORKING.
SEEN SOME FORO MEMBERS I HADN'T SEEN IN A MINUTE.
If you're comparing it to other years....yeah it wasn't the greatest.....
BUT...
I think Imperio & VISIONERO hyped it up a lot (and I'm not trying to be biased)......their performances were the best.....and then Qbanito's of course...just too bad he hasn't been promoted enough here for people to follow his songs......Reggaeton in French sounded wicked!!
The line up to get pupusas was INSANE!!!!
The crowd was 99.9999% YOUNG! lol
As usual, Visionero caught the attention of many people....especially with that song he sang to Jesus Christ....."POR TI"
I had a good time backstage .....got to catch up with Qbanito and see Dygidon's 50 something stage members get ready.....lol (for real!)
Shhhhh....... thats private info..... plus it was 49.......... plus las bicicletas
lol
i had a good time 2... and as LB said... Imperio and Visionero did a very good job.
I DONT KNOW WHY BUT I ONLY WENT TO WATCH MY LIL BROTHER DANCE!!! MAN BROUGHT BACK SO MANY MEMORIES....
THKS TO IMPERIO 416 AND VISIONERO FOR THE MEMORIES....
HEY DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE PHANTA DISAPPEARED TO??
