Por cierto, creo que soy psíquica. Llamandme Madame Lahtina justo ayer le decía a mi suegra: va a temblar. Y si te das cuenta, el epicentro fue en Michoacán. :twilightzonetheme:

Hmmmm... I have never experienced an earthquake near a beach, TRG! That must have been seriously scary, Daeveed.

Yes, twice while I was living in Gdl. The first one, I did not even realized it was an earthquake, only whe I saw the BIG wave on the swimming pool. Ten I went, Holy Macaroni, I have to find a secure spot for next time, because of the girls.

Then, the second time, was much strnger, the on that had the epicenter in Colima in 2003, 7.4, believe me, I felt this one. I was not scared pero mas bien "sacada de onda".

I've been to too many.

The biggest one was in 85, January, maybe February. I was at the beach with my parents, and suddenly i start hearing this huge rumbling...next thing i know, the water receedes about 100 meters, rooftops go flying, people running, walls falling, etc. Needless to say everybody went on a rampage to get out of there...huge traffic jams and what not.

We made it safely back home in Santiago, but we say a lot of ruined houses on the way.

IT was on March the 3rd of 1985 right in front of San Antonio, the city where I was living in.

My street had a gap of 5 meters wide by 8 deep

Holy scary

Ugh, I hate that. Sometimes you wanna remain calm but then you see others panicking and you can't help but panic. Especially with abuelitas - they're the worst panickers.

So there was just a quake in Mexico and I was just wondering, have you ever been caught in an earthquake? I've experienced several. **** it's scurry! Most of them have been in Mexico and a few others in California. Fortunately I missed Mexico's big one of 85 and California's big one of ... 91 (was it?).

MEXICO CITY — A moderate earthquake rocked Mexico City on Friday, causing skyscrapers to sway and frightening residents. There were no immediate reports of major damage or injuries.

The U.S. Geological Service estimated the earthquake had a preliminary magnitude of 5.9 and was centered in Michoacan, 125 miles southwest of the capital.

There were no initial reports of major damage in the city, and electric and telephone service were not interrupted.

Hundreds of Mexico City residents ran into the streets when the quake hit.

Radio reports said the city seemed fine. The quake didn't appear to knock out electricity or phone service.

The quake was too small and based too far inland to cause a tsunami, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said.
