This thread couldn't have gotten any more off topic from Pablo the Mexican. Or Pablo the Argentinean or Pablo the cheap Ecuadorian.

Hihihihi... I know but I didn't really find the joke that funny. There are funnier - errrrrr, I mean more funny ones about bad English than that. Do peaches moan?

@ Migue, thx a bunch.

LOL... did I write managese? QEF?! Clearly that is a sign that I should be taking a chemistry course. You know, because I eat, sleep and breathe chemistry. Check this out.. Manganese (Mn)... atomic number 25!  Or maybe I should just take an English spelling, editing and proof-reading course.

for once that I can do it !

Loca, there is more to it that just this notion. You'll see. But I understand that if it's not your thing, it's not really interesting.

So when are you going to be done with all these tests, placements and finally know if you can take the courses you want.

I don't know , I don't know , I don't know There soooooooooooo many interesting courses.  I am overwhelmed!  Especially because I'm used to all the courses in Mexican universities which are the same stupid baloney. Here, there is a whole bunch of them that I'd be very interested in taking but, of course, the more interesting ones are full.

I don't have to decide everything today, that's a relief. I still have a few questions I need to ask  But yeah, I would like to know as soon as possible.  Oh and uuuhhh... I may need to crash at your place sometimes.

you should also check the availability of courses every day, even twice or three times a day

people drop out all the time and slots open up randomly

Yeah... that sounds exciting... it sounds exactly like the courses I took... yeah... Along with all my Geography & Math course... yeah...

Instead of wanting to know why and how a plain manages to stay up in the air, I rather learn how to save my life if the plane manages to fall down... you know, it's never been done... everyone who falls, dies. Why can't they figure that one out?

Not true ! If you de-rust your French I'll lend you a book about survivals of crashes, you won't believe it.

The Science of Flight:

This course presents basic physical principles by studying various aspects of aircraft and flying. Topics include properties of air as a fluid, aero-engines, basic theory of flight, principles of aircraft instruments and navigation and processes which influence the weather. Three lecture hours, one tutorial hour. Two terms. Six credits. Ok, yeah, no... not really interesting but the advisor said it was fun and the prof was really good.    I hate looking for courses!

There's this course, one of the only ones left, that I'm - only because it would cover one of my degree requirements. I really don't think I'm going to take it though. I'll drop it like it's hot if and when I find something else. But it's a bit, tiny bit interesting though. The Science of Flight:

Don't let that discourage you... You're going to York, right? If you're persistent enough (i.e. line up outside your professors' office and pester him into letting you in) they'll see that you're really interested and get you in. And the good courses (or professors, who make the courses interesting even if they seem not to be) are SO WORTH getting into.

Thx, Buffster. Yes, York. I'm so excited but I'm also terrified. Terrified. Mortified. Petrified. Stupefied... by... errrrr, nevermind. I've never been to school outside of Mexico. Even going to university there was a bit scary but then it was like: pfffffffft, is this all?! It's so disappointing there. Well, in all fairness, some of my professors were awesome. Anyway, I hope school is not disappointing here.

This reminds me... I have to take a Spanish placement test for school. QEF?! It would have made more sense to me if they had given me an English placement test but... oh well.

Yeeeeeeah. This comment is kinda off topic.

Pablo was trying to get into the USA legally through immigration.
The INS Officer said, "Pablo, congratulations, you have passed all the tests so far, except there is one more test to take. Unless you pass this one you cannot enter the United States Of America."
Pablo said, "I am ready"
The Officer said, "Make a sentence using the words, Yellow, Pink and Green."
The Officer said, "Go ahead."
Pablo said, "The telephone goes Green, Green, Green and I Pink it up, and say, Yellow, this is Pablo."
Pablo now lives in a neighborhood near you and works at Verizon's help desk. I just talked to him yesterday!
