What you said is exactly what I am doing because I don't want to waste my time looking for work at a company which I know I won't like.  If I apply somewhere I know I want to work there and hope I get the opportunity this way I will be happy going to work everyday.  Most people out there hate where they work, I don't want to feel that way.  I want to enjoy which ever place I may be working at, I don't want to hate going to work.  Muchas Gracias por the advice LadyBUG!

LadyBUG you know what you just said makes sense no doubt but I've been there before.  I mean I've been at the bottom moved to the top and don't want to go back down again.  It feels better on top so I ain't even hearing that.  You know what I mean?

LOL....I know what you mean....

So then do this....

Look up all the job sites and even post on every forum you know and ask every single person you know.....and then pick and choose your interviews......

Also......make a list of at least 20 places where you would looooove to work, but would never think of applying there.....and apply and call and see what position is available and if you get it...you can then move up within the company....and get paid for working somewhere you absolutely enjoy.....

good luck!

The reason why I said minium wage is because so many companies don't keep their word.  At first they be offering top dollars but come time to hire they wanna pay minium wage.  I'm sure many here have been through the same thing right?  I mean what do companies really want experience or education?  I've learned in the past that networking is the best thing to getting work.  This is the reason why I have decided to place my very own ad here on Toronto Hispano.  Good ideas from todos, I hope it don't take too long to gett'in trabajo porque es hard you know.  Muchas Gracias for the help everybody in here.  I got the experience and skills needed therefore it shouldn't take long I hope.

Why am I not surprised? Fk, dude, you don't get it when it's completely spelled out for you. I like acronyms. They're K.O.O.L.

I might be quitting soon so my position will be open. It's in Mississauga and a Spanglish speaking person is definitely needed here.

LatinPoder,

Ya whoever mentioned Workopolis give that a try it tends to work sometimes...you can also try monster.ca and im sure there's others out there.  As for getting a job making minimum wage well just don't apply to the jobs that offer crap money.  Cause if that's the case you're better off dressing as an Argentian; selling crack while working PT burning hamburgers and selling dem.

What makes you think working for an agency, you'll be making minimum wage??  I was making $18/hr for an agency.  I love them!!!!

Muchas Gracias for the inputs, I guess I shall try Workopolis but with dem agencies I really don't want to take that route. If indeed it takes too long then I must apply to a local agency but really I don't want to. I need to make real money not minium wage, I mean how can one survive off minium salary?

@ Latinpower

Take my advice and apply anywhere and everywhere possible.

Out of 1000 places......a few are bound to call you....

You can also try going through a placement agency like APPLE ONE for example....

Try different jobs until you pick one that you like....
