That "priest" is wrong. You don't have to get married in order to have your children baptized. If that was true thousands or perhaps millions wouldn't be baptized.
Is that that Guadalupe Padre?He's kind of cuckuo, I think he's not a real priest. I hope I'm wrong but he's not that humble to be a priest.

It's SUPPOSED to be THE WAY ... first marriage then baptizm... according to TRADITIONAL Catholisism. However, cause soo many un-married couples have kids, many priests opt to overlook that - and baptize the children anyway. After all, it's not the kids' "fault" and they do not need to pay the consequences of "unwed parents". It's basically upto the priest - and generally, if the couple is not married, priests nowadays DO baptize the children... but while giong to the preparation meetings, they talk to the parents about "doing the right" thing / marriage thing under the church...
in summary: UP TP THE INDIVIDUAL PRIEST.

I haven't taken the vows of marriage, but we do have kids together, so yeah i call him my hubby. I don't feel comfortable calling him my baby's daddy, or my boyfriend. I could call him my lover but that just sounds like he's someone on the side.

Confundida, has a point but to be honest dont listen to her As for the priest going around and stuff is a little too much. A simple call would do. Pobrecito tal vez nada le para bola I've gone to a few catholic churches and to be honest it's funny. You go in, sit down and then when its over people vanish. Ni saludan al pastor (some of the ppl dont get me wrong) y se van como si nada! When the time is right then approach him but it's a lil weird of him coming down and just doing that..
