• There are more Hispanics living in the United States, than the entire population of Canada, which is 32.5 million. (Source: U.S. Census)We are like a country within a country.
You can check the Hispanic Development Council. Usually, they have up-to-date statistics www.hispaniccouncil.net. Let me know what your friend finds, but I think Ecuador has the largest hispanic population in Canada
Cámara de Comercio Hispana-Canadiense has gathered statistics that show that the Ecuadorian community is by far the largest followed by Salvadoreans. However, stats were taken from people that reside in Canada and are of legal status. It is posible that another community has surpassed the above results and are of illegal status. Costa Ricans, Colombians and Mexicans are the top three categories that might of surpassed the above mentioned.
thats what i also heard that there r tons of mexicans here..but i dont see alot of them

I don't think there are many in Scarberia. I don't see many in the Jane and finch area, there may be some in the jane and Wilson; but since they have started buying properties some have gone as far as Barrie, Aurora, Brampton, etc. I don't think we have a specific area to call Little El Salvador or something like that.

My friends doing this demographic study for school..and she is trying to research who are the largest groups of latinos in the city ....from what countries in other words im looking through statistics canada right now.. anyone have any opinions or feed back ? it would be much appreciated
You could start a poll here.
I'm not saying that you should use that n your friends' study, but it would be interesting to see if the representativity is equally proportional here....maybe it would be an interesting add-on to the actual study.
Other than that....no more opinions.
oh yes!
There's a magazine....Orgullo Hispano, which in last month's edition had the statistics you're looking for. Maybe try to contact them.
