Yay, Colombia! I love Colombia, even though I've never been and don't know that many colombians, but I love it nevertheless. Love the accent, the music, the people, the attitude, the food, Andres Cabas, the movies, the novelas, etc, etc, etc. Actually, true story, when I was a teenager there was a colombian president who had my last name and I used to tell people that he was my uncle, and people BELIEVED ME! even though I practically lived in the nicaraguan ghetto... go figure...

Yes, because Nariño is very close to Ecuador, the accents are very similar. I have to hear your paisita and rolo accents.

Hopefully weather doesn't kill it. What's a good meal to have a few in mind before reaching there? I'm cool with trying new dishes...any suggestions mi gente?
Always a must: Empanadas, but not everyone makes them the same, and since Im sure various stands will be selling them, I guess it`s luck of the draw
Chorizo con arepa or Chicharron con arepa are a good choice as well.
Arepas de choclo con queso (my family specializes in those)
I highly doubt they will have a full "bandeja paisa", I`ve never seen anyone selling them at these events. They can be a lot of work.
