By the way, it's not Sergio George who's coming, it's Seu Jorge. The name sounds exactly the same to me when you hear it. So yeah, SEU will be here tomorrow, at Harbourfront. I know he's not Cabas, but it should be okay. 9:30 p.m.

Have any of you seen ANDRES LOPEZ?!?!?!?


He's a stand up comic from Colombia.


He's doing...how we say here on foro......BIG TINGS with his unique style of comedy.


I saw his dvd last night....and it's great.


His show "La Pelota de Letras" is funny as hell......AND SO TRUE!!!!! Here's a brief summary from his site.

En “La Pelota de Letras” se describen diferentes generaciones. Andrés no se encontró en la “Generación X” definida en el libro del mismo nombre por Germán Castro Caicedo ni en el babyboom norteamericano, por eso decidió llamar su generación la de La Guayaba.



v             La Generación W: Alusiva a las vanguardias artísticas, literarias y juveniles en Colombia entre 1958 a 1968.;


v             La Generación de la Guayaba: Esta generación es la que pertenece el autor y da el predominio de la música salsa y la introducción de los primeros animes en Colombia, en síntesis al Hombre Nuclear.;


v             La Generación X: Es el periodo de 1975 a 1981 y se da el desarrollo y experiencia de los primeros intercambios culturales y la difusión de otras lenguas. Su lema es Confunde y reinarás.; “Se caracteriza por su confusión de pensamiento, palabra, obra y profesión, tal vez porque es una generación de hijos del divorcio o, lo que es lo mismo, de los hippies soñadores de los años 60. v             La Generación Y: Comprendido de 1981 a 1992, caracterizado por la exaltación a la belleza y al arte. Su lema Tenemos un mundo aparte.; “es la de los adolescentes de hoy, la que está genéticamente programada para lograr con odiosa facilidad cualquier meta que se proponga. Si no han estrechado la mano del Dalai Lama, han hecho un curso de verano en Kuala Lumpur o han trabajado en la Deutschewelle a sus tiernos 17 años.”


v             La Generación Z: De 1993 a 2001, caracterizado por la globalización y el predominio difusor de la animación europea y estadounidense.; “son educados por Barney y Teletubies”


v             La última generación es la AA, que viene después del 11 de septiembre de 2001, que podría caracterizarse, según el autor, por el ambiente del terrorismo y la difusión intensiva de los videojuegos. “Cuyo plan secreto es acabar con la humanidad, hacer tabla rasa y empezar de nuevo. Son niños que no conocen el temor y pueden dominar a sus padres con el solo movimiento de su pequeño y despiadado dedo meñique.”


The only thing....you have to be able to understand Colombian slangs and be able to understand really fast speaking.....
