Oh and make sure they don't have any plans to build around the area cause my view was spectacular until they made some stupid building in front of me!! Ok i lived in a basement apt for a year and a half and i loved it!!
it all depends on whos above you or who the owners are cuz mine were old ppl but they yelled and fought alot so i heard it all but i never made noise well except on certain nights but they rarely heard me!! lol my bedroom was under there living room!!!
i would consider it if its big nice and cheap and see how they are talk to them ask them why the previous person left and astuff

I have lived in a basement for a year...they never made any noise! at all! mas bien..i was making the noise.. lol...but i tink basement is great if you feel like you need to save money ...it can be cozy and not much as much as apartment condo or house...
bad idea.... if you have people who walk around a lot upstairs it will really bug you
I agree been there and done that...You hear absolutely EVERYTHING and it becomes annoying. As for sleeping its always nice as long as you dont hear any squeaks. Another thing depending on how your basement is you never have good enough lighting which sucks if you're the type of person to open the blindes or windows every morning. I doubt it would be cheaper to live in a basement since renting is pretty pricey these days.

Bad idea ! Living in a basement, great light :thumsup: and as Miguel said, the others walking will drive you nutzzzzzzzzz in no time.
Plus., those are in houses in general right ? Do you want to see the owner everyday and feel sorry for every little noise you think you might be doing.

Crazy woman. Well, the pricing, obviously, look were you are located and the kind of building you're at. I am sure you can find a bigger place for the same price or less, all included.

Well, I've found some nice basement apartments that have util incl plus laundry plus parking and pretty much everything I have for half of what I pay now for rent.
Plus I'm bored of the "condo" life
