Lupe Fiasco is getting crazy publicity and rapid recognition......his stuff is ok....nothing WOW....but he is refreshing to the scene.....nothing's happening in the hip hop scene right now....so it's the perfect time to jump in and take over.....exactly what Lupe is doing......plus he doesn't have "an image".....he's as simple as they come....

Even the reggaeton coming out now is getting a bit on the "hip hop" style I guess....I prefer the old skool reggaeton...

I soooo miss the good old hip hop days.  Lords of the Underground, Black Moon, Pharcyde, Tribe Called Quest, Afrika Bambaataa. Those were the days

Actually everyone blames G-Unit but they also need to include Southern hip hop aka CRUNK Music. If i was forced to choose between the two, I would choose G-Unit. Keep in mind "Forced."

In my opinion, one of the fewcrwes that has kept the true spirit of hip-hop is the Rawkus crew.

Check Rawkus Records' website to see some of their artists. That's where artists like Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Common, Company Flow, DJ Hi Tek, DJ Babu, Dilated Peoples, etc... started, and some of them are still there.

If you're getting music by this crew, I suggest getting any of the Soundbombing volumes.
