Good hip hop now a days.... hmmmm... thats hard to find mang. Old school is where its at. Jaime has a point though, in that not all old school were classics or jems, but its a lot better than what we have now. I'd rather take old school over anything any of these new so called hip hop artists have to offer. They just dont have the same feel or soul or heart for the hip hop game... its all about money now a days. Back in the day hip hop was sacred and expressed a message, told a story and spoke to your life... but now its just about ****es and hoes and money and grills. BLEH!
AMEN.....which is why i strictly ..listen to reggaeton and latin hiphop now..more then ever....the only hiphop albums i bump r the ones b4 99

Cuz you still with the Nas Intro ...lololol. Its been a long time that i've listened to any new artists from the Hip Hop world. I had the opportunity to hear Lupe Fiasco. I must admit, I like. He has a dope. I heard his single "Kick, push and Coast" It doesn't sound like the other junk thats out there right now. I'm also anticiapting Nas' "Hip hop is Dead" album. Can't wait.
Lupe Fiasco is getting crazy publicity and rapid recognition......his stuff is ok....nothing WOW....but he is refreshing to the scene.....nothing's happening in the hip hop scene right now....so it's the perfect time to jump in and take over.....exactly what Lupe is doing......plus he doesn't have "an image".....he's as simple as they come....

I soooo miss the good old hip hop days. Lords of the Underground, Black Moon, Pharcyde, Tribe Called Quest, Afrika Bambaataa. Those were the days

Actually everyone blames G-Unit but they also need to include Southern hip hop aka CRUNK Music. If i was forced to choose between the two, I would choose G-Unit. Keep in mind "Forced."

Yeah I dont know where HIP HOP can go anymore....the music out there just sucks!!!! I think Cincuenta Centavos ruined Hip Hop IMHO. I like the old skool stuff too..but yeah I cant help you with your request Danny ..sorry!
Everytime I turn on the radio I have to turn it off cuz theres nothing..I mean theres the southern hip hop but thats not really hip hop..its southern pop music..I dunno thats why I find myself listening more to Reggaeton...
In my opinion, one of the fewcrwes that has kept the true spirit of hip-hop is the Rawkus crew.
Check Rawkus Records' website to see some of their artists. That's where artists like Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Common, Company Flow, DJ Hi Tek, DJ Babu, Dilated Peoples, etc... started, and some of them are still there.
If you're getting music by this crew, I suggest getting any of the Soundbombing volumes.
