"The Other Final"...They showed this documentary on Sunday, on "The Passionate Eye" I missed it... but heard it is amazing, showing how far some people will go for the game they love... well worth checking it out (thinking of buying the DVD)

The Other Final is the brainchild of two Dutch football fans who dreamed about what might happen if they created a championship for the two lowest-ranked teams in the world. Once they located them-Bhutan and Montserrat-they rallied support for what many thought was an extremely unique, but bizarre idea. This is the story of what happened when they put that crazy idea into action. On June 30, 2002, the same day as the last World Cup Championship, two very different teams, from two very different cultures, faced off in the mountains of Bhutan in front of 25,000 spectators to determine the worst football team in the world.

"This game showed the real spirit of football in a clear and passionate way. It was an example that the football world should follow, showing us that football is a language everyone can speak. In a time where it's all about commercialism, this was an almost naive project that put love for the game first."
-Roberto Baggio, Italian international, voted European and World footballer of the year 1994
