My daddy would also set up all my dental appt's on Saturday MORNINGS so I wouldn't miss school. It's funny. The things that drive you absolutely MENTAL and up the wall, you dearly miss when that person is gone. Ironically enough, I find myself arriving 3 hrs early for flights and still booking my dental appt's on Saturday mornings!

As for the lady who shows up too early, maybe her home life is monotonous and she gets her kicks from being at work. I work with a lot of people here who practically LIVE here-- unbelievable workaholics, but it's mostly because they have nothing to go home to and they actually have fun/human touch here.
Me, personally, I would never be that early, even though I'm a morning person (to the extreme) and unlike many latinos, am almost always on time. In fact, I HATE tardiness with a passion. Huge pet peeve of mine.

well it may not be that person choice to be there 30mins before thier shift. It all depnds. For instance mybe they get dropped off or something and thats the only time thier partner can leave them. i would much rather be at work 30 min earlier than have to wake up an hour and a half earlier to take the bus to make it to my job on time. If the ride is there then might as well take it. Plus that way u save $$$$ tooo.

Don't know if anyone here does this, but I have this one lady who works in our accounting department who comes to work 30 minutes before her shift starts.I'm lucky if I'm up 30 minutes before my shift starts let alone be here that earlyAnyways she just comes and cleans her desk and stuffs her drawer with food.I see her do this everyday because she works at the back and usually starts at 11am, but is here at 10:30am and sometimes sooner.I wonder do you have that much dedication to make it to work that early?
