I think she means by comparison... like saying the US will win the world cup.... it could happen, theoretically... but really... no offence, but US would be considered a "****ty team" in the world cup... that's pretty much how Argentina was seen in '86 In '86 Argentina was not considered a cup contending team... but Maradona outdid himself.... more so than anyone had expected... and it's no secret Argentina won in "86 because of Maradona This is going to be long thread, lol!
And the Mundial has not start yet

Yeah anyway you can go back and forth but I think it's clear the top two are Maradonna and Pele! Most people would say one or the other.
what do u consider a $hitty team, i think in the world cup there is no such thing as a $hitty team, so that year the argentina won the cup it was the $hittiest team ever assembled? please so i gues every country had a $hitty team like the french who had platini the brasil team of zico, morracco(sp)

never Pele had it tough in 1966 in england the tackles he endure at that time those players would have got red card, he endure more punishment then any soccer player on the field then any one in the game

Personaly I think is Pele and maradona I can't make up my mind who is better., but if ronaldino plays good in the world cup I think he will be up there also..
I think Maradona was better than Pele. They had different styles, and I liked Maradona's style better.....and also, he did drugs.
yeah I like his style too. I don't know he was just sooooooooooooooo skilled with that ball. He was also like a larger than life rockstar soccer player type of guy. I like him. I also like his personal views on all kinds of stuff.

that is sooooooo true about Pele, that goes to show how good he was and the impact he left on people around the world.
I also think he is the best and deserved the award for player of the century.

I think it's hard to say best of all time.....I think that players that revolutionize the game....or do things for the betterment of the game are candidates....but hard to compare.... Having said that.....I'll go with Pele and Maradona as #1 and #1A
In my books best of all time 'cause missing that penalty shot against Brazil was priceless....even more priceless were the faces of all the Italians.....especially the ones from Woodbridge!

hehehe, well if you look at it by their careers, how can you not vote for Pele, winner of 3 world cups.
Then there is Maradona, arguably one of the (if not) the best midfielders of all time.
Then there is Zidane, Won a World Cup, European Cup, and Champions League, Fifa Player of the Year, and so and so forth.
I think its hard to pick one player, because of all the Great players there was before, they have all played in different generations, and the game has evolved so much.
However, I'll stick with Fifa's true embassador of the game ... PELE is #1 in my heart.
