I'm not sure, but what is the exact defintion of a break????? When a relationship takes a break, what exactly does that mean????????? I'm a little confused, and would like some help on this. Thank you.

I dont necessarily think that is always the case. In some relationships a break is good because it can make you realize your true feelings for that person, whether it is better to stay alone or whether it is worth it to try and work things out. Sometimes those breaks make you see that person's "true colors".

I dont like "Breaks" they are grey zones to me...where anything can happen and no one is responsable for anything that happens in that time...and I agree with all of you, it is just an easier way to break up with someone...sad but true...
i break is a an easy why to break up with someone without basically saying **** you its over forever.. they make the other person believe there is a chance but there isnt.. so basically it would be over..
Depends what kind of break.......there's the "break" to see other people and perhaps get back together. There's the "break" that means it's over and then there's the "break" that maybe that person needs to step out of the picture and view it from the outside. Sometimes people just need to take a breather and do things on their own.
I, for one, have always been in a relationship and I've never given myself any "ME" time or ever truly been alone. So I think a "break", for me, would be just to relax and see what I can accomplish on my own without having to depend on my significant other.
