FREE STARBUCKS ON THURSDAY!

Next Thursday, March 15th, plan on stopping by your local Starbucks between 10am and 12 noon. During that time, Starbucks will be holding is 2nd annual Coffee Break. All company-operated and licensed Starbucks stores in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Greater China will be giving away free Tall (12-ounce) cups of coffee to anyone who drops by. Starbucks Coffee Masters clad in black aprons will be present during each of the coffee breaks to kick off the company's spring brewing sale and to answer any questions you might have about the coffee or coffee brewing. Last year, many stores used the coffee break period to sample some of their pastries out to customers waiting in line, as well.

For the location of the nearest Starbucks, you can look at their website or text your zip code to "MYSBUX" (697289) for a return of the three nearest stores.

Update: Apparently, the Starbucks stores outside of the US and Canada will not necessarily be participating on March 15th; some will be hosting their coffee breaks on different days. You might want to check before heading over!

I've been drinking my coffee with no sugar for a couple of months.

It's amazing how much the sugar hides the flavour of the coffee. Without it, you can really tell when a coffee is crap.

So now I'm a coffee snob.

you can't ask for sugar. Just ask of a: tall/grande/venti mild/bold/whateverthefawck coffee.

you have to add the sugar/milk/cream yourself.

I'm telling you Bainaman, Starbucks is addictive. Although all I ever order is grande (medium) coffee (which is about $1.98 with tax) there are literally thousands of possible drinks you can order from Starbucks depending on the combinations. I stick to the plain stuff because its easier on my wallet.

Besides the great taste, I enjoy the experience. When I lived in Europe (Paris and Barcelona) sitting in cafe, watching people go by, is a national pastime. I developed a real feel for that lifestyle. Starbucks is the closet thing to that here.

There was one by my old job.....I love the tuna panini the have. It's amazing!

I went not too long ago to the one by my old job......walked in.....to realize they turned it into their head office!!!

Ummmm OMG they are sooooooooooooooooooo good! There is one right inside Hazelton Lanes and when I used to work there I was in there EVERY day! They have the BEST coffee ever!! Much better than Starbucks

Try the coffee sometime you will LOVE it!!

lol I remember my "first" time at Starbucks! It was so intimidating!!!

Now I just order a grande, non-fat steamed milk, with two shots of vanilla and perhaps with whipped cream . With four shots it would be considered a vanilla latte but that's too sweet for me!!!

They purposely burn their beans to get a 'fuller roasted' flavour... it's not that great actually. But their coffee (whichever one you choose) is stronger than all the other companies out there... i can never sleep after one of their coffees.

We actually have a Starbucks coffee machine here at work, but it only makes coffee and hot cocoa, no lattes or anything like that. I dont go to Starbucks much, except for when I need something to really wake me up, something strong. Usually for that I order a Tall Red Eye Latte. That`s a latte with 2 shots of Espresso. The other day someone here was saying that she thought that people that drink Starbucks on a regular basis do it more as a status symbol then for the actual flavour.

I have the same problem you do in not knowing what blend is what. My girl let me try her coffee from Starbucks one day and it was sour
I had to put like 12 packets of sugar to get it a bit sweet. I just stick to the ice cappuccino when I go.
