I am stunned you are planning to marry when you don't have money!! It's going to be a rough ride hombre. My suggestion is to save at least 10% of your pay through automatic deductions at every paycheque. This way you are not tempted to spend your savings. Invest some of that money in RRSP and the rest in non-RRSP. Don't be too aggressive in your investments - look for investments that are consistent over the long term. Saving 20% or more is ideal if you can do it.
I think he should get married, he just have to stay away from making babies for a while.
