Interesting. My husband is actually going to Calgary in a few weeks. He has a carpentry buisness and they are paying double per sqaure foot in Calgary then they do here. Even hourly employees in that field make much more. So yeah he is going to Calgary. I on the other hand would not move there EVER!! No way Jose....New York...Milan perhaps but no somewhere like Calgary...I guess my answer is it depends on where and how much...
Hey, Calgary is taking people in like crazy, and I hear the money's good there right now. Construction is booming like there's no tomorrow. Immigration there is also booming. My neighbour from across the street is moving there. Her hubby got a great-paying job and they have no real ties here, so they're going. I know a lot of people from back home who live there now and they say it's great.
I've thought about relocating many times, but I know I won't. Hubby's not the relocating type, and deep down inside, neither am I.

If you were offered a great job in a different province you would take it?
For me it would have to be a really good job that would pay me double. I would also do it if it was only for a couple of years. Incase you don't know Alberta is taking in alot of people from different provinces because the job market there is booming. There is alot of construction work available and jobs with oil companies are hiring as well with big salaries. My cousins best friend did this 2 months ago. He moved to Calgary on his own to see how it went. Apparently they did pay him much more than what he was making in Toronto and now moved his wife and kids there too.
