I don't know if he lived there. I know that he went to De Sales for a few years. Then he came To Regina Pacis for a couple of years. He has those devilish eyebrows and a brother named Bobby.
He actually went to St. Jane Frances. That's where we went to school together.

I have a degree in BIS Business Information Systems and a Diploma in Law Enforcement by Police Foundations. Both of these helped me get in as well as my four year Security experience and being bilingual. You can't just apply to Canada Customs and expect to get in without any education or securtiy experience. It also helps if your friend is already inside CC. Overall, with the right education and experience you have shot at getting into Customs. Working for the Federal Guv. is harder to get in than the Provincial (TPS Toronto Police Services)...........in the end once your IN you will be rewarded with one of the best careers and benefits. Everyday for me is a step closer to what I want.
Very much appreciated! Thank you!

Also, how do you DJ when customs agents work seven days a week on a 24 hour basis doing shift work?? Can you work part time?? Sorry to be a pest. My buddy is looking for something flexible. Can you tell me how you applied so that I can help out my friend? Thanks!-- Edited by Motown Junkie at 19:38, 2006-04-04 None taken but if you must know YES I do speak french not fluently though. One of the main reasons I got hired was that i'm fluent in spanish and can understand Italian and Potuguese as well (not fluent though) To answer your other question I'm on a probational period of 6 months now so i'am not full time yet. I also work security as a supervisor for one of the top companies in Toronto. When it comes to dj'en I always try my best to work around it, afterall dj'en is not my career but Canada Customs is. I also started my promotional company aong with my partners and are looking forward to many projects coming your way soon. Hope I answered your questions...MJ
And that's all I wanted!! Thanks very much!!! Did you have to go to school by the way?? Or....how the heck did you apply? Online?

LOL at Genie.
I believe Sir Stanford Fleming was the official customs college back in the day but I'm pretty sure you can go to a local school these days.

Not true. I only asked Prieto because I don't know anyone that works for customs but since Marky Mark said he worked for them, I asked him instead.
My buddy has contacted some schools and there are programs but he only wants to work part time in the meantime and see if he can "perhaps" work himself into the system.
I asked nicely. At least I think I did.

i was at the airport. the border may have different qualifications but once you're in, you're in and can transfer around if there are openings (like any job). i was only a student so never tested but my mom and cousin went through the testing in Quebec.
the 8 week testing is tough and you have to be serious about wanting to be an officer (lots of mental tests).
