I used to get the butterflys when the long weekend in August came around at Christie Pits. You could here the music blarring and all the people dancing. I even remember the drag queens that showed up barring all. (1994)
I have bad memories from the Christie Pits in '94 But the previous years were great. I also loved the Colombian parties at Lawrence & Caledonia Or the concerts in the summer, those were the best.

I only went to Las Brisas once for their BBQ ... but I remember friends from my building would come to my house and we would take a peek at who was there with binoculars ... what days LOL!!!
Their BBQ's were the best. So that was you with the binoculars?????

I started going there when I was 16. At first, I also used to pray they wouldn't card me. Eventually I got to know the owner and the bouncers and then I didn't have a problem going there. Although I didnt go often. I was more of a Brisas girl.

I remember getting in that club when I was 15. I used to play with that band called "Sabor Mania" on Saturdays. That still in my opinion, along with Berlin were my fav spanish clubs in the city.
