Atleast by calling our artists Latino-Canadian we can big up the scene, community and our backgrounds all at the same time. Besides: there isn't many Latino-Canadian artists that have toured coast-coast or have much recognition outside of their towns/prov so "local artist" is most fitting in 95% of cases. But I hear you bro: "local" sounds cheap. THAT SOUNDS GOOD TO ACTUALLY! AND IT RECOGNIZES THE ETHNIC GROUP AS IT SHOULD BE

Guys please minus the "local " word....I like to use National artists rather than LOCAL artists...
In that sense, I prefer Latino-Canadian artists. When I hear the radio hosts on Voces Latina say ARTISTAS NACIONALES I automaticaly think of Brian Adams, Nickel Back, Alanis Morisete and so on. It airs on CH (I can't remember what channel, part of Global) and it's based in Montreal. Good show, features a lot of local artists, mainly from Montreal. Last week I saw a Criollo video. I find it very, very good, for a local show. Has anyone watched it?
