Have you seen the Seinfeld episode with the ugly kid? A classic!

@ Lahtina: yeah the hillbilly aunt was dumb. I would've grabbed the kid and ran out of the bowling joint! You were poking her in the eye, weren't you?

I don't know WTF was the point of my post I don't know Y dale con que estaba sentada en la barra de un bar! No, no, no!! It wasn't the type of bar you're thinking of. There were absolutely no drinks of any kind around. These "high tables and stools" were directly behind the bowling tables her family was at. In other words, the kid was still in sight. So what do you do? Are you friendly back to the kid or be a grown up jerk and ignore them? I think the ugly hillbilly aunt or whatever she was could have at least smiled or nodded at me instead of giving me that: "Thank God I saved the child before you harmed her" look and then start whispering in her ear. Ugh, ****en white trash. I love friendly kids. So much better than those shy ones who are scared of everything and everyone. I think rather than scare the kids with what can happen to them, you should try to teach them common sense. Wait, can you teach common sense?

Okay sorry it was not a bar BAR and there is a huge difference!!

Okay I think it was totally right for you to have helped her and for you to have played with her.  Her aunt was obviously dumb and I am surprised a hillbilly would care....if she was so concerned she would have kept a closer eye on the child from the get go.

About friendly kids....I LOVE THEM!!! My niece is sooooooooooooo friendly I love it!  We went to Red Lobster for my bro's bday once when she was only three and she walked in and yelled "TODAY IS MY DADDY'S BIRTHDAY".....everyone laughed and kept going on about how cute she was.  She talks to the lady that owns the convenice store by her house like they are life long friends...hee hee I love that. So yeah scared boring kids are soooooooooo not fun.

  1. you DO have that “psycho” kindda look… I wouldn’t want my kid within 5 blocks from you.

  2. Did you buy the little girl a drink? Perhaps a Shirley Temple?

  3. Why are YOU talking to strangers – don’t matter how little she was… be careful…

  4. LOL

Not after the way she was looking at me. I was actually quite disappointed that the figurines never made it to the dance at Prince Charming's palace.

I wish talking to a total stranger wouldn't freak the hell out of people the way it does here so much of the time.

It was kinda cool because it brought me back to a time when you "instantly" made friends. A bit later the mom or aunt comes over and tells her to sit with them and starts whispering something in her ear. I'm sure she told her not to be talking to me, a stranger. I can't say I blame the woman but... grrrrrr, she made me feel like a creep.

I can see why you would feel that way.  And although I am very vigilant of my kids, I think if one of my daughters did that I probably would warn her too.  Now a days you can't be too vigilant and you never know who's who.  That's the sad truth

Well, it wasn't the bar BAR it was just one of those tall tables (bar) for you to eat/drink while you watch the bowlers. Anyway, if anything, I'm the one who should have been cautious of them... white trash.
