ok, seriously... science and religion are quite opposite, how can u make a religion from it? Science constantly disproves the existence of God and the mythology behind a lot of religions carry no scientific reasoning.

I admit I don't know much about the 'religion' but to deny someone medical help is just wrong!!

Tom Cruise is ****ed!
He used to keep a low profile and now that he decides to open his mouth it's all verbal diahrea.
That chick Katie Holmes that's gonna have his Alien baby is gonna be in so much pain during labour because he is refusing any pain medicine for her.

I read one one their books which it's great. What I don't like about this institution is their recluting practices. I bought a book and wrote down my address somewhere in a paper. I get their mail often asking me to go to their meetings and offering courses. I just lost interest cause I don't want a new religion - cult.

Yessss your rite...they do believe in science why wouldnt they believe that it could cure illneessses too....I think I would consider it more a CULT then a church..

I agree with certain thing of the Scientology church, I think they're very interesting...but what Tom Cruise is trying to do is wrong...

As the religion's (or cult) name says it "SCIENCE" they should know that there're mentally illnesses produced by chemical imbalances and they should be treated medically...

all i have to say is that there are to many religions these day and no one know where to go,

and tom cruise is just a moron, i saw his interview when he calle brooke shield a idiot for taking pill to help her cope with depression, and this come from a guy that is a high school drop out

Scientology foes blast Cruise in ad

The battle between Tom Cruise and Scientology and its foes is heating up.

Cruise and Scientology have been in the news lately because of an allegedly censored “South Park” parody of the religion — and now Scientology and the “Top Gun” star are being blamed for a woman’s death.

“Thanks, Tom Cruise and the Church of Scientology, for your expert advice on mental health,” blasts an ad in LA Weekly. The ad goes on to say that a woman was killed “by the schizophrenic son she was told to treat with vitamins instead of psychiatric care.”

The ad refers readers to a Web site, which provides details on the case of Jeremy Perkins, a 28-year-old schizophrenic who stabbed his mother to death. Perkins was a staunch Scientologist and his mother was a counselor in the church — which opposes psychiatry and psychiatric drugs and “believes modern psychiatric medicine derives from an ancient alien civilization’s plot to drug and enslave humanity,” notes the site.

A spokesman for the Celebrity Center of the Church didn’t respond to requests for comment by deadline

This is a really sad case...I think some mental illnesses (the worst ones) is a physical illness therefore they should be treated with med and proper councelling...whatcha all think???
