I do agree 100% with you ! It, for sure, depend on the situation and yes, pple tend to think that if you lent them some money, there is no hurry to pay you back, o nada mas se hacen "pendejos".
I am still waiting for 500 - 1000 $ and know I can seat on them. Well I guess I've learn my lesson. At least, with that person that I thought was a very good friend and FAR from having money issue. It is just that at that time, she was away and I had to take care of some of her bills.
And no, I never lost friends or fought over money, but I sure try to be more cautious now.

What's the most you would give and where do you draw the line?I personally have never been asked for a large sum of money. The most as friend asked for was $500, but I got it back the next day. I think in alot of cases I would give upto $200 at the most. $500 was an exception because I knew he had the money but it was just blocked for 24 hours. Asides from that I wouldn't really do it on a regular basis. Thats what family is for in my opinion.
