HUH? I DO TAKE IT THE WRONG WAY....BECAUSE I AM A MUSIC LOVER. JUST BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE A FAV CANADIAN MUSICIAN (WHICH IS THE QUESTION OF THIS THREAD) ....IT DOESN'T MEAN I DON'T THINK WE HAVE TALENT HERE.....WE HAVE GREAT FILM PRODUCERS, DANCERS, SONG-WRITERS, SINGERS (LIKE CELINE DION)....ETC....I JUST DON'T HAVE A FAV MUSICIAN BECAUSE HONESTLY I DON'T FOLLOW UP ON THEM AND I'M NOT EDUCATED AS YOU OR EVERYONE ELSE SEEMS TO BE ON THIS TOPIC.....THAT'S WHY I ASKED YOU TO NAME SOME PEOPLE.....(OTHER THAN THE ONES I KNOW OBVIOUSLY)....LOL BTW: CELINE DION IS NOT A MUSICIAN AND ALANIS MORISETTE & SHANIA TWAIN I'M NOT A HUGE FAN OF...THAT'S ALL MICHAEL BUBLE I LIKE...(NOT MY FAV)....JEFF HEALEY IS TALENTED FOR A BLIND GUY ESPECIALLY....(BUT AGAIN, NOT MY FAV).....ALEXIS BARO (GREAT TRUMPET PLAYER, CUBAN....BUT NOT MY FAV) I HONESTLY WANNA KNOW WHAT OTHER MUSICIANS WE HAVE.....EDUCATE ME...(NOT BEING SARCASTIC)....I WANNA LEARN.... IT COULD ALSO BE THAT I DON'T LIKE ALTERNATIVE MUSIC THAT MUCH....SOME SONGS, COOL...BUT NOT FANATIC STATUS....LOL
i was thinking artiest as a whole, anyways, i respect thats what makes us diff.
now to answer the question like OUR LADY PEACE, Alanis Morissette and more just can remember at the moment.
I'd say there are many. Alot in the rock, adult contemporary and country field but my fav TRUE musicians would have to be in the Jazz department like Micheal Buble and a whole list of other players. Notable mentions for sure would have to be Glenn Lewis who's an amazing R&B vocalist and an excellent writer.
Bryan Adams and Shania Twain are up there as well for sure. Celine Dion don't entice me because although she has an amazing voice, she's an interpreter....she doesn't write her own songs. Not that I know of at least.
I'm a big fan of the many local.....let's not use local anymore...I'm gonna use National artists...yeah!
I'm a HUGE fan of our national talent here in the city and abroad as well.
@Ladybug - you serious??...me?!?! I'm honestly shocked that you picked me on top of the whole buncha talent we have here! Dios te bendiga ugie...u made my day chula....thank you!
