There are different ways of helping needy people, foundations , societies, etc. The most important thing is that you help in any way. I have bought tickets of the Princess Margaet Hospital, and yes , you want to win something but at the same time is going to a good cause. But you also can donate the money directly. So it is up to everyone how they want to Help good cause.

Confundida, congratulations in your good work for those kids. You are changing their life.

Buying a ticket for this one.......etc........Fraudulent charities........whatever.. I wasn't ignoring your post, Bainaman, I was just thinking. Still am. Is it ethical to "give and tell"? A friend once told me something along these lines: Too often man seeks to show his charity by way of expressing compassion not necessarily true concern for whom it is expressed. Compassion is the vice of kings, it's a way of using the weaker to improve one's own re****tion. What does the compassionate man say after having given to the poor? He says look at me, I am so very kind, praise me. Ok, more from me later.

This is very true.

I agree 100%.

I was taught to give to the needy.....and not even have them know that it came from you.....for no one to know but yourself....

About these types of lotteries......I'm not against them getting people who normaly wouldn't....to buy tickets to contribute by awarding prizes.

NOW......where that money goes.....I don't know personaly......I guess people did the research....they can find out....and choose for themselves....
